Niched down….

Writing comes pretty easy for some people and a lot of people struggle to pen down words. I had a friend in school who was very good with mathematics and science but just hated the concept of writing. He could speak well, but always had errors in his essays.

I’m not a perfect writer, but writing takes a lot of effort. It’s something you give a lot of thought to and that’s why I always prefer writing what I know. If I were to choose a niche to write about forever, it would be science related. There’s so much to learn in the world and research to understand how we interact with the world.

Coming from a science background, I especially love climate-related topics even though I have not written much about them on this platform ( I guess I should start). My browsing history is filled with climate related topics and just anything that can help mitigate climate change.

There’s a lot of issues that can be resolved with climate smart innovations and if I had my way, that’s one thing I would love to educate the world about. If we all could change our mindset about earth and treat it with love, there’s so much that would change for good.

Food Insecurity

Climate change has affected food production negatively in so many ways:

  1. First our rainfall is irregular
  2. Cyclones and high temperatures are no longer a new occurrence

These and many more that I can not remember at the moment.

How can we help?

First, is to change our mindset to be conscious of this issue. And this is one thing I wish I could change. To do that however, is not so easy, I mean, the UN has been trying for years so who am I to suddenly change everyone in one day?

Anyways, that’s why I love writing about science stuff; I get the chance to teach people every day in whatever platform about the earth. I’m passionate about a lot of things especially my faith, however, I respect everyone’s decision on religion and won’t insist on making everyone be of the same faith with me. But we are all humans and I expect us all to treat earth better.

I remember buying a ball for my boy for his birthday and was just amazed by how he held on to it. He even went to sleep with it( picture below). He used the ball so much to play in the house. In fact he woke up one night at 2a.m to request for the ball after we took it from him in his sleep.

Thankfully though, the ball lost air while he was playing with it and that was the end. Earth is a ball we have all been given and it seems we have only been taking from it and enjoying its beauty just like my son. Not considering what it needs and what it doesn’t. As long as it satisfies our desires; gives us wood to cook, gives us water , we are okay. It’s unfortunate that many of us do not know that how we handle the ball today will determine if anything might make it burst.

Science and writing has so much good to offer. Perhaps like you said, writing them would help spread the message to the world

Yes it will spread the message! Thanks for reading!
