Hello dear friends of this delightful Community, here I am again to tell you about an episode from last week. I was at the clinic with my newborn grandson, who has been in intensive care for 15 days since he was born. During all that time I had nothing left to do but go down to the clinic's cafeteria to have my daily coffee.
Although the coffee there in its different presentations is very tasty, the truth is that I longed for a coffee made at home.
The clinic where the child is hospitalized is quite far from where we are staying at the moment, so it was not possible to fulfill my desire to have a delicious homemade coffee.
One day, I was sitting in the waiting room while my daughter was visiting the baby (only she could visit him), every day I had to wait for some information from my daughter when she came out of the neonatal intensive care, now, as I was telling you, sitting in the waiting room of the clinic, I received a call from a friend, (kARLA) who had not had contact with her for several years, she found out about the baby, thanks to a mutual friend who informed.
After talking to her for a while and telling her everything that had happened, she asked me where the baby was hospitalized, when I told her the place she was impressed and told me that she had just moved to an apartment very close to the clinic.
We laughed for a while and my friend invited me to her house for coffee. Saying that she only had a small cup and a big cup for coffee, because she was just moved in and was just buying her things, but that the first thing she bought was a small electric coffee maker and her two cups, one for black coffee and one for latte, which first thing first hahaha.
My answer was a euphoric YES, full of emotion with nostalgia and joy at the same time. I answered: I don't care what kind of cups you have, my friend, as long as I can taste a delicious homemade coffee, I miss it.
After a while my daughter came out and told me about the evolution of her son (every 2 hours she comes in to breastfeed him), I mentioned the call and invitation of my friend to go to her house to have coffee, who was living near the clinic.
She was very pleased and we went immediately to my friend's house, since we had to be back at the clinic in two hours. We didn't take the car out of the parking lot, it was really so close to my friend's house that we walked.
By cell phone she was showing us the way and in just minutes we were already at her house, what a joy. We greeted each other and hugged the three of us, my friend had already turned on the coffee pot and when we arrived I immediately poured coffee in her big cup (she was very anxious).
I really only has two cups of coffee, one big and one small, because of the trust we have in each other, I asked her to give me a lot of black coffee in the big cup and I drank it ecstatically as if I had not had coffee for a long time, it was delicious.
The doctors recommended my daughter not to drink coffee while she is breastfeeding the baby, because it accelerates the baby and she does not sleep well, my daughter like me is 100% coffee lover, but she understands that for the moment it is not convenient to drink it, so Karla prepared her a delicious chamomile tea and I had to give her the big cup and serve myself in the small cup to taste my coffee with a piece of cake that she also offered us.
Karla had no choice but to wait for us to finish so she could have her coffee, hahaha.
It was really a magical, wonderful moment that happened without thinking and without planning it, that snack with that delicious coffee, it was like a mother's blessing (as we say colloquially in Venezuela).
So far this little story of many to come, which I love to share with you in this community, see you soon friends.
