I play in the Bronze League, and I can tell you, the most important card to own is the Djinn Chwala. I am so often surprised that it's a card you don't often come up again. Probably because it is not part of the starter set.
Here's why it is awesome:
5 Armour - you read that correctly. It is going to help you keep this guy alive!
9 Health - of all the tanks you're playing, this is probably one of the most healthy cards you can get. With armour, that's 14 damage you'll get to stay alive.
2 Melee - pretty standard for a tank in bronze; anything above this is pretty unusual.
2 Speed - this is pretty standard for a tank, some have more (Diemonshark), some have less (Lava Dude).
But, the reason that makes this card EPIC (it is, EPIC, actually) is its THORNS ability. If a melee card hits the Djinn, that card will take on 2 THORN damage. This means you're going to be damaging your opponent with your own melee damage (2) and then a further thorn damage (2). Let's be blunt, that's AMAZING - and, so often will give you a massive advantage in the battle.
Yes, he does cost 8 mana, and it would be easy to raise an eyebrow on this. Most tanks have 7 mana - so then it becomes a question, is he worth 1 extra mana? Absolutely!
Speaking of costs - this guy is an absolute STEAL. At 62 cents, you get 100 CARD POWER. A lot of card power is 1 cent for 1 card power, so this guy is truly a bargain in every and any sense of the word.
So there you have it, the strategy that you need to win in Bronze.
Still not convinced? Have a look at how the Djinn single handedly defeats 2 cards in a low mana battle (a 4 mana tank, and a 5 mana sneak account - they had no chance!!)
