Tiger Cave Temple and Thale Waek Beach, National Park, Krabi, Thailand.

Today I started my day of early been such a beautiful blue sky morning I decided to talk a ride over to the Tiger Cave Temple about a one hour motorbike ride from Phuket town from where I am staying I had heard from my friends that once you have climbed these 1260 steps to the summit as they say, to the top of the stairs you will be at 309 meters elevation from ground level that is going be one hell of a climb but the views from the top will be very worthwhile, was I ready for this hell yeah .... I love a challenge of fitness.

I had my energy drinks and a good breakfast so I was ready for this challenge of 1260 steps climb to the summit and looking at that steep staircase the steps were uneven some of the steps were higher then others some up to more than a foot (30 cm) high I was not going to be any rush climbing I was going to take my time and enjoy the staggering breathtaking views on my way up and it actually took me about a hour to get to the top only because I was stopping taking photos and making the best of the views, it would normally take a average person 40 minutes to reach the top to this temple.

The Tiger Cave Temple called the Wat Tham Sua, in Thai, is the most adventurous tourist attractions in the Krabi province if your up for that steep sweaty climb you will be rewarded by some of the best views of Krabi province from one side of the temple you will see the town of Krabi and the rice paddy fields in a micro version and from the other side you will be met by these huge limestone rocks and looking further on you will see Thale Waek National Park and Thale Waek Beach and you will also be greeted by some monkeys along the way.

After catching my breath taking some photos of these spectacular views, it was like taking photos as if you were flying over in a plane that's how high up you actually are now, it was time to make my way back down and move on to my next adventure, it took me only 20 minutes to get back down.

After making it back down all them steps I had a real appetite I jumped on my motorbike and headed towards Thale Waek National Park along the way I saw this sign Aoluek Ocean View and cafe taking a right turn of the main road I followed the signs leading me to this view point about after 10 minutes riding up towards this viewpoint on this mountain road there it was on the right side of me the Aoluek Ocean View cafe and eatery this was the prefect spot to have lunch and a cold ice coffee.

My fried rice with minced up vegetables and crab was just delicious washed down with a cold ice coffee gave me my energy back I then rode further up this mountain hill road to a higher view point where I enjoyed more breathtaking views of the rain-forest and the Krabi islands in the far distance by this time it was just on mid-day and there were some threatening monsoon clouds approaching my way but they never worry me most of the time just blow over.

Run into some farmers growing there crops on top of these mountains looked very interesting liked to have know what sort of crops they were growing.

After exploring this viewpoint I made my way back down the mountain road back to the main road and headed towards Thale Waek Beach by this time those monsoon clouds had passed by and the blue sky was back it was the prefect beach weather again.

Around this area of Thale Waek Beach there are about three little islands all with white sand beaches around them and there are Tail-Boats here ready to take you over to any of them limestone rock islands I decided why not go and do some more exploring this was all new territory to me and I was curious the sky was blue again and the sun was shining the islands looked quite inviting for only $6 US (200 Baht) return trip it was certainly worth doing so in the Tail-Boat I jumped and across to one of the little islands we were going.

Even though I have seen a few of these limestone rock beaches I always get excited seeing a new one that I haven't been to before and this one again was just amazingly clean you know that sea water that you want to drink and the white powdery sand that you want to get between your toes yep, it was all here again and I was part of it again just love Thailand I don't know how I am ever going to leave this amazing country.

These beaches here near Thale Waek National Park and are some of the unseen beaches of Thailand were you will not get crowded amounts of tourist and actually not a lot of tourist know about this particular area so you get to enjoy these spectacular blue crystal water beaches practically to yourself, mountain climbers love it here as they can enjoy climbing these limestone rocks peacefully.

And just like that another beautiful day in Thailand was coming to a end it was time to make my journey back home before that late afternoon monsoon hits again and so another stunning day spent out on the Andaman sea and climbing steps up to a mountain to see a temple and just as I got home the gates of heaven opened up and a short while after a monsoon sunset to end yet another amazing day in the land of smiles.
