Because I actually missed such an event, and I also happened to have some free time, I accepted my friend's invitation. At the same time, I also invited Nurul, another my friend, Nurul.
The place where the training was held was only six kilometres from my house, so it was very close. After I picked up Nurul at her place, I drove to the training venue directly, after registration, etc, all participants gathered in one hall. After praying together according to their beliefs, the moderator introduced the Suzuki acting method that we would be discussing for the next two hours. A brief introduction to Tadashi Suzuki who was a theatre director, writer, Jeoang philosopher, and also the master who popularized the Suzuki acting method, said the moderator.
Followed by a regional dance performance from the Ragam Budaya Nusantara dance group.
Then, at the core of the event, our mentor, Bangkit Baban Sanjaya, came back to talk about the Suzuki acting method as well as his experience of attending a live seminar with Suzuki Company Of Toga (SCOT) in Toga, Toyama prefecture, Japan for about two years. In addition, Bangkit Baban Sanjaya is on the theatre committee of the South Tangerang Arts Council.
Of course, this point means a lot to the members of the training, as training directly with an experienced mentor with a valid certificate makes us even more convinced that this training is not something arbitrary.
Entering the practical session, Bangkit as the mentor demonstrated several examples of movements which were then followed by all participants. What a fun event. The event was also attended by various other theatre activists, such as: Teater Patri Pamulang University, Dapoer Sastra tjisaoek theatre, and others.
With my mentor, my teacher and friends.
Hi, I am the child of the universe, I like to read books with various genres. I was born in the city of batik but can't draw batik yet. I want to be a novelist, but my works are only short poems that are included in anthology books.
