Hace ya mucho tiempo que no jugaba Splinterlands, sin embargo, las últimas semanas regrese y he visto cambios interesantes que me faltan por entender aún y otros que si entiendo y me han encantado.
Uno de ellos son los cofres de botín y los sorteos de cartas en diferentes rarezas cosa que vino a suplantar las recompensas anteriores y es de lo que les vengo a hablar el día de hoy.

It's been a long time since I played Splinterlands, however, the last few weeks I have returned and I have seen interesting changes that I still don't understand and others that I do understand and I have loved.
One of them are the loot chests and the card draws in different rarities, something that came to supplant the previous rewards and is what I come to talk about today.

Ahora una nueva sección llamada “GWEN’S GLINT SHOP” incluida en la tienda la que nos dice textualmente: “¡Tenemos de todo, desde pociones hasta cartas Soulbound!” es el lugar donde gastaremos todos los Glimt obtenidos en batallas, este nuevo token puede ser obtenido en victorias de batallas o quemando cartas Soulbound, se utilizaría para ganar las recompensas que anteriormente solían ser aleatorias en los cofres.
Esta vez te da la opción de buscar una carta de rareza especifica dependiendo de tus necesidades o te deja también la opción de buscar algo más con la opción de los cofres de botín.
Now a new section called "GWEN'S GLINT SHOP" included in the store which says: "We have everything from potions to Soulbound cards!" is the place where we will spend all the Glimt obtained in battles, this new token can be obtained in battle victories or by burning Soulbound cards, it would be used to earn the rewards that previously used to be random in the chests.
This time it gives you the option to search for a specific rarity card depending on your needs or it also leaves you the option to search for something else with the loot chests option.

Si bien lo ideal seria elegir la rareza que deseamos y buscar que nos de la carta que necesitamos o queremos, Viendo justamente las recompensas que podemos obtener en los cofres podríamos pensar si hay algún tipo de posibilidades de obtener algo mejor.
Como observan en el cuadro anterior, en cada cofre dependiendo de su rareza (Minor, Major o Ultimate) pueden darte ciertos artículos interesantes, desde un +30% de cartas hasta un menos del 0,1% de un Jackpot.
While the ideal would be to choose the rarity we want and look for the card we need or want, seeing just the rewards we can get in the chests we could think if there is some kind of chance to get something better.
As you can see in the table above, each chest depending on its rarity (Minor, Major or Ultimate) can give you certain interesting items, from +30% of cards to less than 0.1% of a Jackpot.

De tocarte una carta en ese +30% de posibilidades además depende del cofre también podemos ver que tienen cierta posibilidad de rarezas y cantidades de cartas, lo que hace aun mas interesante esto de abrir alguna de ellas.
Vamos desde poder obtener 1 con el “minor”, hasta poder obtener hasta 11 cartas comunes en el “ultimate”.

Además que también cambia la cantidad tanto de energía, pociones o méritos que ganarías en cada uno, llama la atención que con un cofre bueno de méritos en Ultimate, te da lo suficiente para comprar una caja gladius por ejemplo.
It also changes the amount of energy, potions or merits that you would gain in each one, it is striking that with a good merit chest in Ultimate, it gives you enough to buy a gladius box for example.
Comentarios Finales:
Después de casi 1 año sin jugar, conseguirme con un cambio tan radical primero no fue tan agradable, sin embargo, con el pasar de los días entendiendo la rentabilidad del juego a largo plazo y el balance que los creadores quieren darle con el pasar de los años, pude apreciar estos cambios.
Según mi criterio me parece que podría ser de gran utilidad reunir los Glimt para abrir cajas “Major” ya que siento que tiene un excelente balance entre precio y lo que otorga, ya que podría ser mas rentable que gastar mucho más en una “ultimate”.
Naturalmente si lo que estas buscando es aumentar tus cartas soulbound de nivel te recomendaría encarecidamente que vayas directo al sorteo de rarezas, así evitar un mal rato, sin embargo, si lo que buscas es variedad podrías arriesgarte un poco para recordar los antiguos cofres que solían dar en el juego.
Final Comments:
After almost 1 year without playing, getting such a radical change was not so pleasant at first, however, with the passing of the days understanding the profitability of the game in the long term and the balance that the creators want to give it with the passing of the years, I could appreciate these changes.
According to my criteria, it seems to me that it could be very useful to gather the Glimt to open "Major" boxes since I feel that it has an excellent balance between price and what it gives, since it could be more profitable than spending much more on an "ultimate".
Naturally if what you are looking for is to increase your soulbound cards level I would strongly recommend you to go straight to the rarity draw, to avoid a bad time, however, if you are looking for variety you could risk a little to remember the old chests that used to give in the game.
