It was indeed an exciting first day of February as I got to obtain lots of first-hand LeoFinance information and market thoughts from @khaleelkazi, Mitchell Jaworski - @scaredycatguide and Neal McSpadden - @nealmcspadden. By this I mean that, I connected and watched the most recent LeoFinance Weekly AMA session and round table discussions by the above mentioned via Facebook.
It was my first time joining the session live and it was more interesting as I got to ask several questions while getting answers in return. So, you see that there's a slight difference between joining live and watching the recorded session. I look forward to joining subsequent sessions.
Discussion Points and Excerpts
These three discussed and also threw more light on a few matters concerning the development and growth of the LeoFinance project. Below are summary of some of the points discussed.
LeoFinance Website Upgrade: Of recent, we have all experienced some downtime and instability while trying to interact with the leofinance.io web page. Personally, I usually get a white screen pop up showing "network error" maybe while typing a post or commenting. Equally, I have always noticed a brief truncation when you open a post on the to read and delay in the showing of an author's full post. You may have experienced same or differently; do well to share the feedback as it will help the team in building.
On this subject matter, the project creator @khaleelkazi noted that it is an API problem hence, there has been a switch in the API node being used on leofinance.io. He noted that, LeoFinance.io has been using the Hive.Blog API but there is a switch of node to the ThreeSpeak API. We'll watching to see if this solves some of the above-mentioned issues on the LeoFinance front-end.
Most important is that LeoFinance is working on running its own node. This will certainly bring the stability we need.
In summary, Khal pointed out that there's been a switch from Hive.Blog API to ThreeSpeak API. Equally, fixing post truncation issues and post loading delay has been done. Overall, there's a background work on fixing dozens of site problems.
PolyCUB Set to go Live: One of the most anticipated project on LeoFinance is the launch of PolyCUB. In the past weeks, the growth update has always been shared showing the community the level the project is. Interestingly, February is going to be a great month for LeoFinance and PolyCub.
PolyCUB is therefore projected to go live on or before February 14th according to Khal. So, you should be expecting a Poly Valentine's Day. It was noted that PolyCUB will be a very cross and collaborative platform so, reaching out to many other necessary platforms will be done to create a synergy.
The team has reached out to a few platforms ready to do basic farms on PolyCUB when launched. Furthermore, CUB bonding developments are underway.
Still to note is that, PolyCUB has an exponential feedback mechanism and the underlying idea is to make PolyCUB a nearly deflationary asset.
Hivestats V4 Development Updates: It was noted that there has been a rebuilding and complete revamp of HiveStats.io. The new HiveStats website is almost done and will be launched soon. According to Khal, this is the next big update on LeoFinance and it's actually the Hivestats V4 has shown in the roadmap.
The main aim of the new Hivestats.io is to help users optimize and track their Hive accounts. Hence, more features will be added such as;
- a new and more detailed operations tab added
- dark mode built-in
- paying for membership to access premium features etc
The new HiveStats is predicted to be incredible and a game-changer as there will be more features the community never expected. I look forward to that.
LeoFinance WhiteBook Release: Days ago, the first few pages of the LeoFinance WhiteBook was published and the team is clearly excited about the feedbacks gotten. Hopefully, another batch of the WhiteBook will be released this week and the team is looking forward to more engagements and feedbacks on it when published.
Khal has chosen to refrain from sharing the whole LeoFinance WhiteBook at once. The aim is to avoid information being lost and/or skipped, considering how lengthy the document is and the enormousness of information contained.
LeoMobile Upgrade: There's an ongoing upgrade of LeoMobile in order to fix bugs and login issues faced in the past. The updated version to be launched soon. About Hivesigner, he noted that some users have been asking for a replacement but he thinks an upgrade would suffice.
LeoDEX: Upgrade is underway to give users a better experience.
Questions and Answers
A few questions were asked from the YouTube audience while I asked lots of questions from the Facebook end and responses were duly given.
One of the questions I asked was, "Wen #ProjectBlank" and that was particularly for @Ascentop @taskmaster4450le 😆😆
Response
Projectblank is a much bigger project than we ever expected so, it is better to work on the core infrastructure first before rolling it out. Hence, the website issues being fixed, the LeoInfra and lightning developments are all setting the stage for #ProjectBlank because the project is going to be very robust.
On that note, a scalable and robust base infrastructure has to be put in place first. ProjectBlank will include projects like the importing of Twitter contents to LeoFinance (Hive), once a new user signs up via Twitter. This will be more like a Twitter clone project. Let's say, you join Hive and then you get banned on Twitter, you can always get your tweets back.
The conclusion is that ProjectBlank is coming but having a more stable LeoFinance.io platform and other core infrastructures ready is key for the success of the project.
AOB
There's a huge reward for anyone who onboards Trump to LeoFinance and this is proudly sponsored by @scaredycatguide 😆😆
