Hello, Hive people! I Hope happiness is around you all.
For today's article, I will be sharing about a farmer's life; my life, actually.
I have raised bymy parents who are farmers thus I am one now that I have grown up. My parents are old and I took charge in farming.
Yesterday, I and my wife planted corn but of course, with the help of some friends.
The day started out nicely. I went ahead to the farm while my wife prepared for breakfast.
My cousin Loloy, he plowed the land using a plow and his cow.
The beast was huge and is very strong pull the plow which opened the land for planting. It was his companion and his partner in making a living plowing the farm of the farmers who need his help as I did.
The corn seed is red because of the chemicals that the manufacturer put in them so that the ants will never eat them while waiting for the right time to be planted and when they are all in the soil already.
My hand got red too, and I made sure to wash them first before taking anything not my mouth.
After breakfast, my wife and I planted the corn on the field. We did it together since both of us did not have to report to work. It was very hot and we brought water to the field.
The scorching sun was hot and painful on the skin but we had to endure it.
The land was a bit hard because it only rained very little in the passing days and we are hoping it will rain a little more so that the corn will grow healthily.
Being a farmer is hard but enjoyable at the same time. I am very happy that I was able to experience such because I learned to appreciate life more and I am able to give more value to even just a little money that I have.
Have you had this kind of planting experience too?
