To say I don't even have a Netflix account to join on the “Netflix&Chill” geng..loll but just needed to title my post while adding a little deco around it.
While some people choose to believe relaxation movie time comes with Netflix and popcorn to sit for it, I'd rather wait back and read my online book while waiting for them to gist me on what the movie was about.
Trust my elder brother on this one.
My elder brother is one of the few people who could convince me to watch a movie and he only succeeded If it had a tough play role by the female lead.
I've always loved movies where the female leads herself into a character that portrays bravery and strength and to these I have the movie ”Molan” as the top list on my table, it's one movie I could loudly describe just me.
When I tell people about “Molan” beings a favorite get that hard glare, but I guess they would never understand my perspective.
The movie “Molan” is American-Chinese acted according to the deep cultural nature of China, and the theMolann character describes the bravery of a young girl whose father once told her “There's No Courage Without Fear”. I was captivated mostly by the sense that she picked up both buckets and climbed to the mountain tmountaintopuntless failed attempts.
From my observation, she succeeded only when she fixed her sight and not just her mind to the top above, ignoring the weight of the pain from both sides of her arms while lifting the buckets.
Her character reflects that of bravery and in the end loyalty to her family after she leads great men to war. I could keep up the lists of Molan but I'll save the energy for the next season to come..lol
Also, I got “The Game Of Thrones” as another dark brave movie from the character of “Daenerys Targaryen” also known as The Mother Of Dragons.
Honestly, it's a movie am currently into after a close friend filled me in on the role of Kheleesi.
Although it's a seasonal one which was a first turn-off the story outline was an interesting one. I was also captivated by the dressings and buildings, it felt like centuries ago. I don't know if it could serve for a great weekend since it's popular and has even been completed but it's a great watch.
Lastly, I pick on “Fumilayo Ramson Kuti” a recent movie from a true story of life before my country’s independence. Fumilayo’s character portrays a brave woman who rose and fought for freedom from oppression at a period when women had no voice. To say I was moved is an understatement, she didn't just fight but ended the reign of the rulering king of that time.
I watched that storyline over one of the weekends and I never regretted it, it's one thing to read historical books and another to watch the character and “Kinende” brought the character of Fumi to life.
Aside from my last pick, the ones before might be regarded as less intriguing, well maybe because they’re old movies and popular, especially the second pick which am currently in season 3..lol but there are great lessons of insight for the weekend.
By the way, am still open to recommendations of movies as long as it got a good storyline.
