Hello friends, @tradersaan is here, hope you all are doing very well. This article is not about trading or finance, today I am going to write about an underrated place near kolkata where I have visited several times last year.
As I reside at a city, so I often get bored of my crowded lifestyle of city and pay visits to some of the villages nearby my place. The most clean and calm place I have found is called Bartir Bill about which this article is.
Well, this place is located at Duttapukur, near Kolkata in India - in between of Duttapukur-Nilganj bypass road. It was undiscovered before 2018. And one of our friends has found this place in search of good nature view due to his passion of photography.
Oneday he has taken us there to explore the unfolded beauty of this village. We have found pure hearted people as well as the heavenly beautiful site scenes in this place. We have been thinking that these place could be a very relaxing place for those who lead a city life.
This place is about 5 square kilometers and remains submerged around 6 months in a year. So if you look around it from here, you may find no living house in the area of your eyes view and you will find yourself in the middle of nowhere. That's the beauty of this place - cool, calm, peace from the unbearable gathering of the city life.
Most of the villegers are farmers who grow Paddy, Jute, Mustard, Potato, Pumpkin, Gourd, Cucumber, Tomato etc in this field. And in the rainy season when this place gets submerged, they do fishing here. These are the way of how they make their living. A narow muddy road cuts through the field which makes this place more gorgeous and this is the only road inside which the locals use for their transportation. In the summer season, when the paddy plant is grown up, then this village looks evergreen. It's like the nature is growing. And in the rainy season, the land is submerged and then the fishing is played by villagers. They usually use net and fishhook for fishing. And in the autumn, when the jute plant is thresed, then the stick of jute plant is soaked by sun keeping beside the muddy road which makes the road spectacular. In the sky, the clouds like fluffs roam around and that looks heavenly beautiful. The refleciton of those clouds in the water is awesome, it's like upside down of the earth.
Really we have felt the blessing of God after having this scene. In the evening, when the sunset happens, the eye-satisfaction is no less than having a sunset in a beach. Being here for one hour is a good therapy for your mental health if you reside in a city specially after having such terrific pandemic COVID-19 lockdown.
Well, after a little explore, my friends and I have been thinking of how if this place get included in a local tourist place. There are some beautiful sites, boats and simply the gorgeous muddy road with the bunch of jute plant stick. So we have met some villagers and have made a talk how about turning this place into a tourist place. They have to manage some boats for the visitors who want to ride a boat or who want to do fishing in the submerged land. Later we have shown them a very good income source and they have understood very well. By the time they have made their boat ready for commercial use.
That day we have taken some photos of this area and have come to the city. One of our friends has posted some of the photos in facebook and other social media platforms. These photos magically have gone viral among Kolkata and outside as well. And many people have wanted to know where this place is and other details. After this, the lives of the villagers have started to change. Many people have started visiting this place with an extraordinary satisfaction. And they have gone their with different purpose like riding boat, riding bike while watching the site scenes, fishing, photoshooting etc. And meanwhile this place has turned into a great picnic spot. The villagers have been benefited from all of the activities of the tourist. Days have gone very well.
But the tragedy has come when the COVID-19 pandemic has happened and we all have been locked down. People used to go there even in the lockdown as they have felt this place safe as the social contact is maintained very well due to the very less population in there. But the adminstration has banned this place and has made an annoucement of penalties for trespassers. Multiple raide has occured in this place and finally people have stopped visiting there.
After one year of gap, when the partial lockdown has happened, my friends and I have gone there oneday in the autumn season. It is just before the Holy Maa Durga Puja(the big festival of the hindus who live in kolkata and bangladesh). They say when the Holy Maa is about to come to the earth from heaven, the sky gets beautiful with fluffy clouds. So to see those divine view and to spare from the monotony of COVID-19 schedule, we have gone there.
The photos I have shared in this article are all taken at this time.
We are surprised by finding that this place gets very popular, which we have founded three years ago. And those villagers with whom we had talked about the boat commercialization, they are so thankful to us now.
People even come here for bridal photoshoot, for short film shooting and for many other puposes. These days, in here not only fluffy clouds but also many love birds roam around this area. This place is now underdeveloped but will gradually improve by the locals and the tourists as well.
Ultimately, we feel very proud to unfold this beauty.
Thank you so much if you make it to the end. Feel free to comment your opinion about this place and about the story of how my friends and I have initiated turning this place into a commercial place which is better for the pure hearted locals. And I will really appreciate if you show some supports by upvoting me.
Thanks!!!!
