Topic: A time you stepped out of your comfort zone - Day 19
One time I stepped out of my comfort zone was a time I had to please a close friend She had invited me for her sister's wedding but since it was a school week I had to leave school to the wedding Normally I won't skip school for anything after I got back to school that same day I felt drained because I know I did it out of my comfort zone just so I could please her at the end of the day I wasn't able to meet the wedding because I got stuck in traffic
Normally I don't skip school for anything but this time my friend really wanted me to come so I just decided to go It wasn't easy for me to do this kind of thing but I wanted to make my friend happy so I just psyched myself up and went, seriously it was something I had contemplated for a long during the week , I thought about how my movement would be like, but in all I thought I never thought of meeting up with traffic, and Lagos is the center of traffic , I wonder how I skipped thinking about that and I miscalculated my movement
When I finally made it to the wedding venue I felt like I had used up a lot of energy It was really outside of my usual way of doing things I knew I wouldn't be comfortable with this kind of arrangement but I still did it just to please my friend
Unfortunately when I was going to the wedding,I ran into heavy traffic So even though I tried to make the effort I still couldn't meet up with the wedding party or anything , even my friend had left the venue and that really bothered me When I turned to go back to school I felt so drained and tired
The whole experience just wore me out and I just wanted to rest and recover. I don't regret that I tried to make the effort but the outcome wasn't what I expected. It just showed me that sometimes even when you try your best things don't go the way you want them to.
When I got to school , mehn I was tired and I still had to climb up the stairs to go back to my class and my last was in a five storey building and I had to climb up all the way, truly it wasn't a funny experience but I went through it , just so i could please someone, but at the end of it,I myself wasn't pleased but it wasn't anyone's fault rather was it mine, it's was just how things decided to turn out.
But this experience isn't going to stop me from stepping out of my comfort zone in the future I'll just learn from it and try to do better next time It's part of life to be willing to do things that are not usual for you especially when it involves people who are close to you
