How is everyone doing?
By now I think the whole world already knows Aurora... If not, have you been living under a rock or something? 😆
Here I leave you three versions of what I believe is the best song of 2024, across all genres of music. And believe me, I listen to quite a lot, like Rock, Metal, Punk, Jazz, R&B, Reggae, Pop... you name it.
Here we go. To start let's listen to the original version of the song, it starts quite calmly but it starts to progressively build up and finishes with a strong bang! 💥
Starvation by Aurora (2024)
Next, a live version so you can see that sheis not one of those studio only artists. She delivers great performances and doesn't need to rely on technological tricks to achieve greatness.
Starvation [Live at Glastonbury] by Aurora (2024)
Finally, for those of you who enjoyed the techno part of the track and were starving for more after that abrupt and quick ending, here it is, the Remix & Extended version. 😎
Starvation (ANNA Remix Extended) by Aurora & ANNA (BR) (2024)
Not only the music is awesome, Aurora's lyrics are incredible, way more meaningful and philosophic than those of pretty much 100% of other Pop artist out there, past or present...
Here is an excerpt from the lyrics:
I miss the touch of human hands on my skin
Miss the rush of beauty coming from within
Do I need to be torn just to see who will care?
I sleep on the floor, dreaming my life away
...
Why do we have to die
For us to see the light?
And we hunger for love
Why do we touch the knife
When we long to feel alive?
And we hunger for love
And my soul is starving
...
Come on over, take a bite of the last apple here on Earth
Will the virtual mind become stronger than mine?
And when my ego dies, will I stay here forеver?
When the wеb crashes down, will my life be better?
In my view, this Norwegian girl is revolutionising the Pop Music industry. 🥰
Hopefully, more Pop artists will follow suit and start writing about more important things, not just about sex, dance, disco, drugs, partying and tattoos...
I hope you liked this great song. Do you have a favourite version? Let me know in the comments.
