taking hive seriously, my hive updates and much more!

hello hivers, yesterday i recieved my first weekly reward and to be honest i never felt much happier in my life. but on the other hand i realised that i don't know what i should be writing next 😅.

i believe that not everyone has to be a writer and with that i will not be forcing my self to write just for the sake of writing unless i can think of something i like to write about.

so it's been about a week since my last post and with that i learned some interesting stuff about hive that i like to share with you because
a) i may be wrong about something i thought i knew
b) a beginner can look at this post and read something from a POV from another beginner so that he might grasp it more

with that out of the way here are some stuff i learned/noticed while in here

1- consider using @ecency to do all your hive activity

ecency gives you points for every activity you do in hive, be it blogging, commenting, upvoting... with these points you can either promote your blog for others users of ecency or you can use them to boost (give an initial reward) for your post; so i think not using ecency when you are starting (or even long term) is a waste of potential (and money 😉)

2- focus on 1 to 3 tribes and start using their tags

i don't know how many there are since i didn't find an updated guide that tells you all the tribes and the tags that you can use; but based on what i have see, i will start to focus mainly on #pob, #neoxan, #waiv (i noticed in their website that all the posts using neoxan tag have the waiv reward enabled but i don't know for sure so someone please correct me if i am wrong)

3- put a source link on every media you use in your post

i see this recomended eveytime and i still see a lot of posts with no source; i think that puting a simple "source" with a link to where you got the image (or just putting if you own it or used a software to edited it) is good and it should be respected.

4- hive is not just about blogging

i remember spending one day in a hive rabit hole and i started noticing these account with less than 25rep (i think this happens with a lot of downvotes?) and almost all them have this thing of daily small meaningless less than a 100 word (not that the number of words equates to better quality) with, sometimes, not even an image; correct if i am wrong but if a lot of people are downvoting you then you must be doing something wrong and you have to change it (again i am a beginner and i don't know much)

maybe i will go back to this point once i spend more time here.

5- you don't need to be fluent in english at all

look at me, english is not my first language and i have to sit for a long time to write a small sentence; i am also sure that if you spend time reading (and writing of course) you will improve your language; as stephen king said "if you don't have the time to read, you don't have the time or the tools to write".

another thing is that you can write in your native language (especially if it is chinese or spanish) i think it's harder if there are not a lot of readers in your own languge but there is also the option of writing in 2 languages.

6- powering up everthing

my plan is stake everything i earn; i really believe in hive (cringe much? 🤣) and i know for sure that someday it's gonna be one of the best places that creative people go to

7- playing hive games

although it's harder to make a lot when you are a free to play player; but I think that @risingstargame is the best f2p game right now, and I noticed there are a lot of giveaways everyday.

8- make a weekly (or monthly) progress post

this is just to motivate me; and maybe inspire another person to start their hive journey too

well that's it guys; thanks for sticking around; if I miss anything or you like to give me some pointers i would really appreciate it. peace!
