Hello my dear fellow members of this wonderful community#market Friday by@dswigle I visited a particular market where trailers and lorries bring in fresh tomatoes to this particular market known as Tomato market ,in the city of ONITSHA, Anambra State Nigeria. These tomatoes are being brought into this town 🇳🇬 from the northern part of the country,as there's surplus of it in that area.
For me to get to the market I left my house and on getting to the major road I boarded a commercial bus to take me to the market,I paid #200 naira for the fair,on getting there I have to cross the double lane for me to get to the market.
This market is situated along the express way to the Niger Bridge Approach by the left when going to Asaba In Delta State. The price of tomatoes is now very high as this is not the season,a basket of tomatoes costs about #25,000 naira.
As a result of the high price of a basket full of tomatoes some sellers have to share the basket of tomatoes into four parts or two parts for those who need that quantity. I only bought the quantity that will serve me twice, Other items are being sold in this market like vegetables,sweet potatoes,garri etc.When I finished buying,I had to look for the bus that is going to my destination it didn't take time I got one and so left the market the transport fair costs two hundred naira,@uchenna.lucy , that is how it is #Market Friday by@dswigle.
