Myself

I noticed how much I emphasize more on this crucial issues and the thought of becoming a social media influencer came to mind, if I had to go for it I will go for two sort of brands I will love to influence life positively in this areas, advocating and been known for this two things will be a dream come true for me.

1. Decent dressing And
2. Being proud of who you are.

Indecent dressing
Seeing our generation expose their body all in the name of fashion is what baffles me, one don't need to expose their body to be considered beautiful there is a whole lot of beauty in decent dressing. You can still cover up and look so beautiful
Decency is not old fashion why the cleavage? Lack of self esteem had made many think they are not beautiful enough till they exposed their body. When one exposes their body they attract the wrong set of people who only think of how to take advantage of them, have confidence on yourself and the great value that you uphold... the change start with you and I! Many men who cheat today are due to indecent dressings we can still portrait the goodness and beauty of coverage no need to expose.

By doing so we can save marriages, relationships and our future generations.

Being proud of who you are

In Africa, Nigeria precisely many people are not proud of their dialect especially the Igbos, the young ones find it so difficult to speak their language fluently they are more of English infact they feel more embarrass when they can't speak English than their dialect. Our modern parents contributed more in eradicating the interest to learn how to speak their language is as if our parents are ashame to inculcate dialect to their children they prefer more of English, go to most homes today is English speaking language I'm not against one speaking English language is really good but not at the detriment of forgetting or not knowing or lacking understanding of their own dialect because one's language is their identity and who they are...I believe people should uphold their ethnicity, cultural norms and language with great value irrespective of how it may sound, not only Igbo but any language in the world. Your language is what define you, when you are proud of it is at thesame as loving it and knowing your root...is your heritage.

Few days ago a friend of mine who is having thesame issue of language Barrier chatted me up for help on how to deal with the problem of difficulty in speaking her language fluently due the fact that her mother-in-law just came over she yearn to bond with her while she (mother-in-law) stays over, to her(my friend) it was a very big problem, her mother-in-law understand English language but can't speak apart from Igbo language whereas my friend understand Igbo language but can't speak. She told me this is an opportunity for her to build that daughter-in-law and mother-in-law relationship but how can it be possible when there is language Barrier among both of them, at this point she wished if only she can speak her dialect fluently she was really pained that she posted it in her whatsapp status. I felt her pain but I couldn't help but to laugh at her because I remembered talking to her about it but she was reluctant and adamant she said is not important she's okay with speaking another dialect that is not her's (yoruba). Thank God she finally saw the need to speak her dialect fluently, I advised her to see her weakness as strength in learning her dialect and the presence of her mother-in-law will contribute greatly in making amend where needed she will help in tutoring her and is never late to learn...most importantly never see your mistakes as a thing of shame or weakness in becoming better. She thanked me because it has affected her mostly they mute each other due to language Barrier.

My friend is not the only one going through thesame problem many people out there are face with daily mockery on inability to speak their dialect fluently they complained of thesame thing especially in Schools(we were not taught by our parents because they speak more of English language to us than our dialect). Please parents you're doing more harm than good by denying the right of your children to speak their language, if you were not denied (parents) why denying them? Most at times I wonder who they are trying to impress. This days is becoming more rampant especially in urban areas.

Inculcate them to be proud of who they are, they should speak their language with pride... this will enable them to standout anywhere in the world.

Sort:

Our modern parents contributed more in eradicating the interest to learn how to speak their language is as if our parents are ashame to inculcate dialect to their children they prefer more of English

I love how you shook this table.
This thing gets me angry eeh!
Some parents will be proud of their children speaking English to their local dialect.🤧🤧🤧

Is so annoying, is as if they are competing with each other on whose children speaks best in English language...what a shame!
I pray they don't regret it in future, thank you for your time here.

You have nailed it on the head. The two vital points as your premise for influence is quite good. Dressing lacks decency in our days hence is termed old fashion and secondly one must be proud of where he's coming from. Overcoming low self esteem and cultural ties is key.

Thanks for sharing and I look forward to read more

People tend to underestimate the role their dress code play in helping them to connect with people that matches their value. This is mostly why does that dress properly mostly associate with people that also dress properly and for such people, they turn themselves into respectable people among their peers.

The one about being proud of our language is something I like because whenever I see an opportunity to speak my dialect with someone, it gives me so much joy and I pay special attention to that conversation.

Is quite unfortunate is just few of us who enjoy our dialect while majority sees it as local, too bad modern parents contributed to it. Is even more annoying seeing people who grow up in urban area in the East who find it so difficult to speak their dialect. What a shame!

And this days people see decent dressing as being Godly, no respect and value for their body.

Thanks for your time ☺️

Your points are valid. Indecency is now the order of the day and it has also creep into our religious gatherings.

And for the language barrier, majority of people nowadays have lost it because of English. Even in naming our kids you heard names that can't be trace to any tribe all because of Civilization. I don't know who they want to impress, what a shame

A very big shame... coming to Nigeria ours is just too much, the annoying part of it is that they make you look stupid and local for speaking your own dialect, I really hate that so much. I really blame our parents if only they will change for better. Thank you for your time here

Yes ooooo, it's a shameful act that we all need to stop.

In the same way if you want to become a social media influencer then everything you say will be noted if you upload your videos or if you become a content creator also upload your pictures then people will see them and Then they decide whether to follow you or not and how you tell them all about your experience now depends on them.

Okay thank you

Most welcome dear.
