With this post I want to tell you about my entry into the POBcontest New Round: WOOD by @friendlymoose .
First time for me to participate at the #POBphotocontest.
As some of you already know I like to take pictures, my current tool is the classic smartphone camera, simple, handy, easy to use, but sometimes a bit limiting. With a bit of attention and basic photography skills, you can get good results even with these tiny lenses!
I started taking photos as a child with compact cameras, when you had to pay attention to what you were photographing, the framing, etc. etc. because there was only one shot and you had to make the most of it.
For my 18th birthday I was given an entry level SLR, also with film, and there I took a couple of basic photography courses, the classic notions of exposure and focal length, composition... But in the end all that really counts is the eye and knowing how to use it!
I'm often struck by particular things or those to which it seems I can give a further meaning, this pushes me to take photographs sometimes without too much care to capture fully, but more the moment! At other times, however, I put more effort into it because I want to achieve something special, but I don't always succeed.
Enough about me and let's get to the subject of this post:

WOOD..
Wood, a warm, energetic material, full of life and ideas, it could be used in various ways and I wanted to choose among my photos one that I care about, which links my photographic passion to the tetris mania, sometimes even maniacal, of fitting objects together (loading the dishwasher or filling the boot of a car to the point of exhaustion is not something for everyone! 🤣).
This shot is from autumn 2020, done without filters, without adding anything, what you see is actually a load of wood done in the family minivan to bring wood from the house in the village to the one in town where we have a wood boiler to support the solar panel heating system.
Hard work, for sure, but it's also satisfying to see the wall like this!
This is just the final layer, but there are 4 more behind it... Sooner or later I know the machine will beg for mercy.

Con questo post voglio parlarvi del mio accesso alla POBcontest New Round: WOOD by @friendlymoose . .
Come alcuni di voi già sanno mi piace fare fotografie, il mio strumento attuale è la classica fotocamera dello smartphone, semplice, a portata di mano, facile da usare, ma a volte un po' limitante. Con un po' di attenzione, di nozioni di fotografia di base, si riescono ad ottenere buoni risultati anche con queste lenti minuscole!
Ho iniziato a fare foto da bambina con le macchinette compatte a rullino, quando bisognava fare attenzione a cosa si stesse fotografando, all'inquadratura ecc ecc perché lo scatto era uno e bisognava farlo fruttare al meglio.
Per i 18 anni mi regalarono una reflex entry level, sempre a rullino, e lì seguii un paio di corsi base di fotografia, le classiche nozioni di esposizione e lunghezza focale, di composizione... Ma alla fine tutto quello che conta davvero è l'occhio e saperlo usare!
Mi colpiscono spesso le cose particolari o quelle a cui sembra di poter dare un ulteriore significato, questo mi spinge a fare le fotografie a volte anche senza troppo badare al cogliere a pieno, ma più l'attimo! Altre volte invece ci metto più impegno perché vorrei ottenere qualcosa di particolare, ma non sempre ci si riesce.
Ora basta parlare di me e veniamo all'oggetto del post:
LEGNO.
Legno appunto, un materiale caldo, energico, ricco di vita e spunti, potrebbe essere usato in varie accezioni ed io ho voluto scegliere tra le mie foto una a cui tengo, che lega la mia passione fotografica alla mania del tetris, a volte anche maniacale, dell'incastrare gli oggetti (caricare la lavastoviglie o riempire il bagagliaio di una macchina allo sfinimento non è cosa da tutti! 🤣).
Questo scatto risale all'autunno 2020, fatto senza filtri, senza aggiungere nulla (anche leggermente sfocata), quello che vedete di fatto un carico di legna fatto nel monovolume di famiglia per portare la legna dalla casa al paese a quella in città dove abbiamo una caldaia a legna a supporto del sistema di riscaldamento a pannelli solari.
Un lavoro duro, sicuramente, ma da anche una certa soddisfazione a vedere la parete così!
Questo è solo lo strato finale, ma dietro ce ne sono altri 4... Prima o poi lo so che la macchina ci implorerà pietà.
