One thing that distincts us most from our previous generations is speed. We are much speedy than our ancestors. Being speedy doesn’t mean that we are more agile than them. Offcourse not. We can’t match their agility and robustness. It means we want to speed up our activities. We are in state of hurry. Our speaking speed,our listening speed and our reading speed has increased alot. We have surrounded us with so many things that to manage all we want everything to happen rapidly. And this speediness and rushness has permeated in our musics as well.
Not all but almost majority of songs are of rap version. Pop and classic songs have been intermixed and the most irony is destruction of lyrics. There is no message or story in these songs but just a collection of random words and sentences which are presented with the help of musical instrumemts. So with time two things have been inserted into songs . First speed and second non-sense lyrics. And this is the reason why people are still surrounded by euphonious charm of previous songs.
Lyrics is like the soul of songs. Lyrics with their true meaning help in soothing the disturbed soul. Lyrics with words describe the sentiments and feelings of writers. Writing is an art . Not everyone can write exquisite write up. Vocabulary , grammar and rhymes are undoubtedly important but what is most important, is feelings. The feelings which writer feels while writing is reflected through his words.

Nowadays the lyrics of songs are composed of obsene,vulgar, rough and rogue language ,themes and words. The serenity and vibes of songs have lost somewhere. Songs which used to make hearts soft by feelings are further hardening and debauching it. All this is because the songs are being written keeping in mind trends and interests of people.
If you hear previous songs, you will notice proper poetry and explications of one’s sentiments . People submersed in the ocean of love used to write those words amd lyrics. They were able to draw an imaginary world through lyrics. They were source of tranquility and vibes rather obsenity,vilgarity and rogueness.
I am one of those who listen previous songs most generally ghazals ans qawalis. My inmates call me old fashioned because I don’t match their taste of music. When on a road trip, they want to bump and shiver car with hip-hops , I will ask them to tune some slow music with clear and beautiful lyrics. I can’t even understand the lyrics of those rap and hip hop songs. Yeah if it is about enjoying beat ok lets shake the bums then.
I am not much expert in song writing and poetry-writing but I know one thing i.e to extract an exquisite and masterpiece collection of words with true explicitness of sentiments, one must be possessing same feelings. A person drenched in same feelings can elaborate those feelings much well. I think that artists must keep in mind this factor must. Hip hops and raps are also valuable in their places but alternating the morphology of entire music industry is wrong.
