Wild Seasonal Pass Splinterlands

The vote was approved and at the beginning of the next season of Splinterlands, we will have the implementation of the Wild Seasonal Pass, a mandatory requirement for all players who decide to venture into the Wild Ranked. It will be necessary to purchase a pass per season, and you can choose between three payment methods:

  • 2,000 DEC or DEC-B = $1.34
  • 2,000 Credits = $2.00
  • 40 Vouchers = $0.92

Considering the current exchange rates and converting everything to dollars $, it is clear that purchasing the pass using vouchers is the best option (for now), which may increase the demand for this resource if many players decide to stay in Wild.

Another change that also impacts this format was the alteration of SPS requirements to earn rewards. There was a "small increase" that doubled the amount needed to reach the same percentage of Boost , something I consider extremely heavy and should drive many people away from Wild Ranked.

It is still too early to say whether these two changes will reduce the impact of bots in Wild and if, after the players' movement, the rewards will improve to counterbalance the new costs, but I believe that the increase in requirements was an exaggeration, making it extremely expensive to stay in this format with much lower rewards compared to Modern players. If the idea is for all players to leave Wild and go to Modern, then why not exclude this format and maintain the ban on the use of bots? It would solve these problems once and for all and focus on just one audience, instead of trying to cater to both and end up negatively affecting both sides.

As there is not much that can be done at this moment, all I can do is wait for the beginning of the next season and monitor how the Wild Ranked reward pool will behave. If the increase in rewards does not offset the new costs, I will likely reluctantly migrate to Modern Ranked. I do not like the idea of completely abandoning the old edition cards, but it seems we are being forced to follow this path. Let’s wait a few days into the next season to give time for the Pool to be replenished and until then we will be able to draw better conclusions about these two updates that greatly impact Splinterlands!

I'm curious to see what effect the changes will have, but I can't give an opinion at the moment.

This is yet another episode of the soap opera called 'fight against bots,' which the SPL team has been battling for years. There's one way to end this crusade -
BAN ALL THE BOTS.
That would be possible if the team members didn't have bot farms XD.
I can already see players leaving Wild and rushing to buy Rebellion packs.
Who in their right mind would pump thousands of USD into assets that lose value every day and won't pay off even in 2 years?

  • O paciente retrucou "doutor assim o senhor irá me matar!"

People have always adjusted well to so many changes, but asking further to pay. I think it might just drive people away from wild, it's left to see whether they'll run to modern
