Good afternoon great people of hive, happy weekend to you all. Everyone in life has been through the childhood phase and has earned lots of memories. Driving back to my childhood days, it was filled with fun and loving memories that I would never forget and I would live to tell the stories to my children.

Remembering those days makes me feel like returning to my childhood again to have those lovely moments, stress free days where all we do was just to eat, play, have fun with friends and sleep.
One of the most memorable childhood moments was the cooking aspect, it is really amusing to hear that I started cooking right from when I was a child, my friends, neighbors and I while playing, we would think of cooking and boom! we started planning on how to go about it. We had to split the ingredients and ask each person to bring them, like I might bring the Kerosene and seasoning cube while some other person would bring crayfish and pepper , another would bring salt and oil and some one else would volunteer to bring some fish.
Back then, we do not really know how to afford those items but we would have a way of sneaking them out of the house without our parents consent because if mummy gets to know we carried her maggi, crayfish and oil, we would definitely be flogged. We would immediately set the fire with some sticks, while some persons would pluck the leaves in the compound, some other person would start slicing using a blade and we start the cooking .
Though we did not really know how to go about it but somehow we put it on fire and add water and the ingredients, once it starts boiling we taste it and bring it down, our food was ready then we make the sand as our garri.
Funny enough we never ate those food but we scoop it and pretend to eat it, instead of putting it directly to the mouth, we take it halfway to the mouth and throw it away, it was really fun and though we did not eat the food but we felt accomplished, those moments formed parts of my lovely childhood memories.
Another Childhood memories I can never forget were the dramas, heyy! it was like acting a movie back then, we had a father, the mother and the children and funny enough we acted and displayed all what we see our parents do, most times I would put some clothes under my belly and tie it to be strong acting like a pregnant woman and in the process of delivery I would end up delivering a baby doll, the doll was my baby and I would tie it at my back, wash the doll, give her a name, feed her, rub her powder and play all the motherly roles just the way my mom does.
Those moments also helped now, at least that was somehow a training for me most especially as I am the first child, I can play the role of a mother to my younger siblings mostly when my mother is not around , those childhood days also gave me room to learn.

Another lovely memories I had was the aspect of playing in the rain, O my gosh! whenever it rains and my parents are not around I would jump inside the rain with my friends, jumping, playing and bathing naked in the rain till it stops. It has really been a long time I did that but memories of those days are still popping in my mind.
Most of it all is when we play around catching grasshoppers feeding them with grasses and building houses in the sand for them. I would never forget whenever we pay visits to Grandma, she was fun and lovely, she always had a way of pampering us that we would always run to her to shield us whenever we do something wrong and mum wants to give us some lashes. At night, we play and moonlight plays and listen to folktales and Granny's stories.
Remembering those days, I had lots of lovely memories that most times I just wish I could become a child again but no where, there's no turning back and I'm still glad I made the best use of my childhood days.
