We are counting down a few days to the end of the first half of the year 2024. It's been a pretty fast journey so far for a year that just began. many people have achieved great feats while others have subjected themselves to pity and regrets because half-way through the journey, there are no hopes of meeting expectations. However, it is not all over! marking the end of the first half of the year is a good time to reflect on the goals we have for the year to restrategize.
In a bid to attain my crypto goals, Hive-based assets are key contributors. Thanks to the layer 2 infrastructure of Hive that is the business model and has been my base since 2019. 70% of my growth in this blockchain is made possible from the contributions of layer 2 assets and it remains an untapped value of the Hive blockchain.
This post isn't a financial advice, but a reflection of my investment journey on the Hive blockchain. I'm always on the look out for layer 2 assets powering projects or communities with sustainability in mind. While there are lots of communities here on Hive, just a few are poised to create value for the niche users and the blockchain at large. I have discovered some of these gems and still looking out for others.
As H2 2024 Approaches...
I have drawn plans as the second half of 2024 approaches bothering my Hive layer asset holdings. My key use case for Hive layer 2 assets is curation and gaming. however, the INLEO ecosystem has shown us there are various possibilities for layer 2 tokens besides the curation of niche content. Today, layer 2 assets are bridged to other blockchains and can be used for DeFi, and collateralized lending, among other lofty use cases.
The assets of interest are $LEO, $CENT, $ZING, $SPT, $VYB, $POB, $DEC, and $SPS. I consider these assets as being viable based on my assessment of their present use cases, visionary leadership of the project, the prospect of growth, value proposition, and features that can bring the masses to the web3 space. Below are my goals for the assets for the H2 of 2024.
1. LEO and Leo Power
This is my best bet for H2 of 2024. The baseline target is to hold 20k LEO Power at the beginning of the second half of the year and by year-end, I aim at 30k LEO Power. $LEO is becoming a scarce commodity in the crypto market with the amazing revamp of INLEO which is now the No. 1 posting frontend on Hive in terms of features. The launch of leodex on Maya protocol has given undeniable exposure to the LEO token which is about to explode in adoption with collateralized lending soon to be unveiled. Sitting on 19k Leo Power seems late when we know the prospect of LEO.
2. CENT and CENT Power
This is one resilient l2 project on Hive. A tribe that supports all content. @anadolu is the founder of the tribe and has been working so hard to gain the support of the community for the asset that was designed to be soft-pegged at 1 Cent value. Sitting on 70k CENT Power, I aim for 200k as the H2 2024 begins. We're hopeful for the future.
3. ZING and Collection Power
If you know @acadyo, and what he represents on Hive, then you would agree that there's a gree light in the future of the $ZING token that powers the Holozing game. The game starter pack is about to be launched and more use cases will be created for ZING tokens. The goal is to open H2 2024 with at least 50k ZING staked or pooled.
4. SPS
The Splinterlands game is one of the foremost games on Hive and is a name to reckon with in the web3 game space. Splintershards (SPS) is the governance token of Splinterlands. SPS seems cheap at the moment and gunning for 10k SPS staked as H2 2024 begins is the goal. We look forward to the days of $1 SPS.
5. DEC
DEC is another asset in the SPlinterlands game that is soft-pegged at $0.001. It's been pretty heathy in the last few weeks until the hard bear set in. Hopeful that it will return to peg, hence holding 20o DEC won't be bad.
6. SPT and SPT Power
For those who love splinterlands games but cannot play, creating content on SPlintertalk should be the next available option. This content earns $SPT token. This promises to be one of the best-performing layer2 assets on Hive. We look forward to the glory days. Sitting on 1 million SPT Power ahead of the bull sounds decent.
7. POB andPOB Power
The $POB token powers the proof of brain tribe - a general content niche. Curating with this token has been pretty interesting. I aim for a 100k POB stake as we open into H2 2024.
8. VYB and VYB power
VYB like POB are siblings but with a unique functionality and tokenomics that excludes downvoting. The goal is to hold at least 200k VYP {ower in H2 2024.
