Hello Everyone,
Today I am here with the best tour story of my life. As an avid traveller, I have traveled several times in this life both within and outside the country. But this tour I did with some of my dearest friends. Let me share with you the moments of my tour.
We 7 friends left for Sylhet by train from Chittagong. Boarded the train from Chittagong railway station at 8:30 pm and reached Sylhet at 6:30 am. Get off the train and take CNG to Sylhet Kumargao bus station. From there, take an AC bus ticket to Sunamganj for Tk 170/- and leave at 7:30 am. We reached Sunamganj at 9:30 am after a journey of about one and a half hours. Hired a Laguna from Sunamganj bus stand to go to Tahirpur. Fare 800/- BDT Time taken 1 hour 15 minutes.
On reaching Tahirpur, we called a boat sailor, who had been fixed in advance, and fixed the boat for our entire tour. It was a very beautiful and very big boat. Then we went to the market together with the cook of the boat and bought fish and meat for 4 hours. After finishing the market and having a light breakfast, we left by boat towards the watch tower of Tanguar Howar. After about 1 hour I reached the watch tower. I put on a life jacket and went down to get wet in the water. It was fun to jump along. The fun of drinking tea while floating in the sea was different. We were in Howrah for about 1 hour. After that I returned the life jacket and put it on the boat. The rent of life jacket was only Tk 30 per person. After getting on the boat, everyone was hungry.
The cook quickly served the food. The meal consisted of large pieces of fish cooked with tomatoes. What fun it was beyond words. After finishing our meal we reached Niladri Lake around 5 pm. In the afternoon, the shores of this lake and the whole place look so pristine, you can't understand if you don't see it directly. Many pictures were taken by everyone. The moment of sunset was different beautiful. In the evening, everyone had breakfast and went to hang out by the lake. Chatted till about 9 pm. The charming atmosphere and the place has a different feel that doubles the fun of chatting and singing. At night our boat was kept near Niladri Lake. After that we went back to the boat and ate rice with chicken. Our chef's cooking was so much fun. After eating, I fell asleep sitting on the roof of the boat to chat with everyone. It rained at night. I woke up early in the morning and finished breakfast with fried rice and eggs. Then we went to fix the bike. Purpose of Yatra: Shimul Bagan, Barikka Tila, Magical River.
I fixed the bike for 200 taka per bike. 2 people can sit on one bike. 3 persons including bike driver. After fixing the bike, we all started the journey from the bank of Niladri lake. Nature became more beautiful due to heavy rain at night. All around is green, the sky is blue covered with clouds. We reached Shimul Bagan in 25 minutes to see such wonderful nature. I bought a ticket for 20 BDT and entered. This Simul garden covers a very large area. You will not get bored if you spend the whole day walking in this garden. Such a beautiful place. During the monsoons, this garden takes on a verdant look that cannot be seen at other times. The magical river is very close to Shimul Bagan. The name Jadukata may have been given for the beauty of this river. Very rare to see. In fact, not a single place in Sunamganj seemed overrated to me. All places are beautiful.
After leaving Shimul Bagan, we went to Barikka Tila by bike. This place is slightly higher than the plain. The eye-catching view of the surroundings and the distant hills and rivers of Meghalaya can be seen from here. From there about 40 minutes we again left for Niladri Lake where our boat was kept. Go there and pack your bags. Had some tea and left for Tahirpur around 2 pm. Lunch is made with chicken in the moving boat. Reached Tahirpur around 3:00 PM. After that, we bid farewell to the sailors and cooks and paid their money. Boat fare was Tk.10,500/- including cook expenses. Satisfied with their use, we also gave a small gratuity. After that, he went to Sunamganj from Tahirpur by paying 800 taka. From there, get a non-AC bus ticket to Sylhet. Rent is 300 taka. It took 1 hour 30 minutes. Reached Sylhet around 5:30 PM. The purpose is to visit the holy shrine of Hazrat Shahjalal (RA). After visiting the shrine, everyone did some shopping. I ate dinner a little early. Then we booked bus ticket to Chittagong. 800 taka per seat in a non AC bus. The bus left at 9:45 pm. Everyone was very tired. We reached Chittagong at 7 am in the morning.
This is how our enjoyable Sunamganj tour ended. There was no shortage of anything in this tour. Everything was a perfect combination. It was a great tour on a very tight budget. Our total cost per person was Tk. 3,280/-.
If you want to know anything you can ask me. And in such a large text there may be mistakes. So I hope you will look at the apology in a good light. One more thing, the environment should not be polluted while traveling. There are specific dustbins where garbage should be thrown. The country is ours so it is our responsibility to keep this country beautiful.
