Trump's promises.... Salvation or Risk for the Future of Ukraine? After all, who is really responsible for the Russia-Ukraine conflict? - super hard

  • Yep, a question to which I am one hundred percent convinced that many still ask - unfortunately everything falls into the category of conspiracy theories.

As the conflict between Russia and Ukraine continues to claim casualties and deepen divisions, the crucial question remains: Who bears responsibility for the escalation? Is it solely the fault of the Russian Federation, of a history strained by geopolitical interests, or are there other international actors that have contributed to igniting the spark?

In the current geopolitical context, how the United States might approach the war in Ukraine under a potential Trump administration raises profound questions. Already approved by Congress, the $61 billion support package for Ukraine may become a symbol of American commitment – or a possible strategic withdrawal. In an increasingly polarized world, a reduction in this aid could lead not only to a weakening of Ukraine's frontline position, but also to a redefinition of US influence in Europe.

Imagine a scenario where the United States suggests ending military support and instead supports a ceasefire. What would this mean for Ukraine? Such a gesture could enshrine a series of territorial changes forced by the Russian Federation, generating a dilemma not only for President Zelenski, but also for Western allies. Basically, if Ukraine had to accept a withdrawal from NATO, how would the Ukrainian people feel? Abandoned? Or perhaps worse, stuck in a gray area of political and military uncertainty?

This scenario highlights the fragility of alliances and the sometimes unpredictable nature of international engagements. If the United States decides that "America First" means less support for distant wars, could this signal a paradigm shift in its global strategy? How would Europe react, caught between the need to support Ukraine and the reality of a less involved potential American partner?

The course that the American administration will take can influence not only the destiny of Ukraine, but also the stability of Europe. But a major question mark remains: Will the United States want to shoulder the consequences of such a shift, and if so, what will the new map of global alliances look like?

Sort:

If Europe stopped supporting Ukraine, the war would already be over

Peace and the sovereignty and survival of nations should be the ultimate goal whatever path the Ukrainian conflict takes. I know Trump to be a reasonable leader so I believe he will make the right decisions that will favour all parties in the conflict and the world at large. But Russia must pledge never to intervene in Ukrainian matters again. We hope for the best outcome. Thanks for writing.
