Hello rockers! We continued with the evolution of my pedals when I was just starting... As I mentioned in the last post, I was already a little disappointed with the DOD pedals, they were not of good quality, and to make a short story I had already gone through several pedals from DOD distortion: Supra Distortion, Trash Master, Metal Maniac, one worse than the other, until I came to one called Metal X, for the standards of the previous ones it was really very good... But I wanted to go further , although without knowing much I knew that the DOD were not the best option at all, so through a magazine I met about the Boss pedals, and I searched until I found a Boss called Hyper Metal HM3 for sale, it was a very different pedal than the DOD, with much more body and better dynamics in the distortion.
Hola rockers! Continuamos con la evolución de mis pedales cuando apenas estaba empezando... Como comenté en el post pasado, ya estaba un poco decepcionado de los pedales DOD, no eran de buena calidad, y para hacer el cuento corto ya había pasado por varios pedales de distorsión DOD: Supra Distortion, Trash Master, Metal Maniac, uno peor que el otro, hasta que llegué a uno que se llama Metal X, para los estándares de los anteriores de verdad era muy muy bueno... Pero yo quería ir más allá, aunque sin conocer mucho sabía que los DOD no eran para nada la mejor opcion, asi que por medio de una revista conocí los pedales Boss, y busqué hasta q me encontre en venta un Boss llamado Hyper Metal HM3, era un pedal muy diferente a los DOD, con mucho más cuerpo y mejor dinámica en la distorsión.
The eq was very simple, Level, Low, Hi, Dist, metal shell like all Boss pedals, the sound was much closer than what I was looking for, the truth is that what I remember was a well compromised sound and without much noise or feedback, today it is no longer available new, I enjoyed this pedal for a long time, after understanding that it did not matter what pedal I had but what was important was what amplifier it had, I got several amplifiers and tried any type of chain effects.... this pedal in particular together with the Boss Metal Zone MT2, they are really crazy when you connect it through the amp's fx loop, I think they are actually made to go out there, the difference is barbaric, it's a shame that In the year 1997 it wasn't as easy to record as it is now and I don't have any video to show you the difference between one connection and another, but I suggest you try it... In the next chapter I will talk about the loved and hated Metal Zone of Boss...
La eq era muy sencilla, Level, Low, Hi, Dist, carcasa de metal como todos los pedales Boss, el sonido era mucho mas cercano q lo que yo buscaba, la verdad lo que recuerdo era un sonido bien comprimido y sin mucho ruido o feedback, hoy en dia ya no está disponible nuevo, este pedal lo disfruté por un buen tiempo, después de entender que no importaba que pedal tuviera sino que lo importante era que amplificador tenía, me hice con varios amplificadores y probé cualquier tipo de cadenas de efectos.... este pedal en concreto junto con el Boss Metal Zone MT2, son una real locura cuando lo conectas por el loop de fx del amplificador, creo q en realidad están hechos para salir por allí, la diferencia es barbara, lastima que en el año 1997 no era tan fácil grabar como lo es ahora y no tengo ningun video para mostrarles la diferencia entre una coneccion y otra, pero les sugiero que la prueben... En el próximo capítulo hablaré justamente del amado y odiado Metal Zone de Boss...
