Yes, I am back again with a post. Took me a while but definitely not forgetting everyone here. Loving this community a lot so coming back to share my battle revolving the Goblin Psychic.
Thoughts on Goblin Psychic
First impression..... SHREK!!! Don't you think so?
When I first looked at this card, I was like why is Shrek in Splinterlands?
Looks aside, let's look the card proper.
6 Mana - Kinda heavy in mana cost
Magic - 2
Speed - 1
Health -3
Lvl 1 skill - Healing
When moving to Lvl 4/5, it gains affliction which helps disable opponent healing, subsequently at Lvl 7, it gains silence and finally at Lvl 10 gains dispel.
Looks kinda good isn't it, but I noted one thing, there is no increase in speed or magic damage as it levels up. At speed 1, might be a little late to administer much needed healing to front line.
How good our Psychic is? There can only be 1 way to find out.

- Summoner - Obsidian
Reason of choice: On Earth Splinter, to boost the magic damage for Earth monsters, best choice at lower leagues.
Position 1 - Unicorn Mustang
Reason of choice: Awesome tank with high damage, high speed and high health. Best of all, it has void and able to help sustain again heavy magic attackers.Position 2 - Khmer Princess
Reason of choice: Low mana magic attacker, front padding and protection towards backline.Position 3 - Regal Peryton
Reason of choice: Another good inclusion for magic lineup and having flying to help sustain against melee should front line get breached.Position 4 - Goblin Psychic
Reason of choice: Provide healing to front line and with the 3 magic attack (+1 from Obsidian), viable damage to opponent front line.Position 5 - Fungus Fiend
Reason of choice: Sneak protection to ensure Goblin Psychic can sustain longer should opponent heavy in sneak.

- Position 1 - Mycelic Slipspawn
- Position 2 - Khmer Princess
- Position 3 - Goblin Psychic (GOLD FOIL)
- Position 4 - Wood Nymph (Lvl 3)
Prediction before pressing rumble
Similar cards, mine with a normal tank of Unicorn Mustang vs a taunt tank of Mycelic Slipspawn. I am also up against a lineup with 2 x healers which are both at level 3. From the looks of it, opponent stand a much better chance with that double healer and full magic lineup.
Let's get ready to rumble
Round 1, Magic flying everywhere but no one dies. Both tanks at 7 health.
Round 2, More magic artillery flying, but Unicorn Mustang ended with 4 health, 1 more than opponent.
Round 3, Peryton with the initial strike and Unciron Mustang go for the finish on opponent tank. From then on, without a proper tank, everything went down hill and we eventually claimed our victory!
During the whole the first few rounds, Goblin Psychic did hard work to keep Unicorn Mustang alive. Kudos to the timely healing.
After Thoughts
Great game where my initial prediction against a line up with level up monsters was reverse in my favour.
In an all magic lineup, having a fast tank with void does help to apply pressure on opponent front lineup even when facing opponent with double heal, effectively suppressing the damage from magic attacks and turning it back for the win. 1 tank alone would not have made this possible. The star of the match, Goblin Psychic did it's job to enable Mustang to slam down opponent Mycelic Slipspawn.
Though slow in speed, the Goblin Psychic still does a great deal of difference by high % pickup rate for Earth Splinter lineup, ensuring tanks kept alive and slamming in some good magic damage. All in all, a good card to keep in the arsenal with the affliction and silence to come in high levels.
My Earth Splinter lineups tend to pick Goblin Psychic up to balance the lineup and you should as well.
