Star Wars is undoubtedly one of the best-developed franchises in the world of video games. After having enjoyed its latest installments like Jedi Fallen Order and some older ones that I still enjoy like Star Wars Battlefront 2, today thanks to Epic Games I have access completely free and forever to Star Wars Squadrons
When I first heard about this game I wasn't too convinced about the fact that everything takes place inside the ship. There is no mission where you can get off the ship and walk with a character, the closest thing to this is the hangar and yet you cannot move, you only have the ability to observe and interact.
Personally, I was not confident of this concept, but after having played this game for a few hours, and seeing how it comes together with all the history of Star Wars, Battlefront 2, and the graphic beauty I have been convinced. The gameplay is exquisite and the cockpit construction, the immersive feeling, and the combat system make this game a gem.
The story continues from two perspectives.
After the destruction of Alderan ordered by Lord Vader, the empire's fighters must search for a convoy of refugees and this is when the game presents us with the development of the two visions. Empire and the Republic, in Star Wars Squadrons we have the chance to play two visions of the same story.
This non-linear style of storytelling is something I really appreciate, plus while you're playing one side of the story, you're wondering what happened to the other half. Seeing how the narration is unraveling is very nice, the verisimilitude between scene and scene has a montage worthy of Star Wars.
An Excellent Job
As always, all Lucasarts and EA games have an optimization that is not to say excellent, brutal. The game runs perfectly in all its resolutions and in 1080p it looks SPECTACULAR.
AMAZING Cinematics
The cinematics of the game is not far behind. The art that accompanies the narration is simply brutal, it seems that we are watching a Filoni series on Disney +. I think any Star Wars fan is going to be blown away by this game.
Multiplayer to FULL COMBAT
The Multiplayer could not be missing. That's right, Squadrons is not far behind and offers us a very well-developed multiplayer of stellar combat. PVP and Missions take over the galactic scene. You will be able to customize your ship, buy weapons, and your cabin, improve your attributes, and raise your rank as an Imperial or New Republic pilot. A really good connection to the servers compared to other EA games. I think this grants a lot of gameplay after finishing the big campaign.
Conclusions
Star Wars Squadrons is without a doubt a game that has no waste. If you are a fan of the saga, without a doubt you are not only going to enjoy it, but you are going to add part of the Star Wars history that you still do not know to your collection. In addition, of course, to enjoy fabulous gameplay full of action and adrenaline. If you're a fan of space games and ships, well, believe me, you're going to enjoy them a lot with Squadrons. Star Wars es sin duda una de las franquicias mejor desarrolladas en el mundo de los video juegos. Luego de haber disfrutado de sus ultimas entregas como Jedi Fallen Order y algunas más viejas de las que sigo disfrutando como Star Wars Battlefront 2, hoy gracias a Epic Games tengo acceso completamente gratis y para siempre a Star Wars Squadrons.
Cuando escuche sobre este juego por primera vez no estaba muy convencido sobre el tema de que todo transcurre dentro de la nave. No existe ninguna misión donde te puedas bajar de la nave y caminar con u personaje, lo más cercano a esto es el hangar y sin embargo no te puedes mover, solo tienes la capacidad de observar e interactuar.
Personalmente no estaba confiado de este concepto, pero luego de haber jugado por unas cuantas horas este juego, ver como se junta con toda la historia de Star Wars, el Battlefront 2 y la belleza gráfica he quedado convencido. La jugabilidad es exquisita y la construcción de la cabina, la sensación de inmersión y el sistema de combate hacen de este juego una joya.
La historia continua bajo dos perspectivas.
Luego de la destrucción sobre Alderan ordenada por Lord Vader los cazas del imperio deben buscar un convoy de refugiados y aquí es cuando el juego nos presenta el desarrollo de las dos visiones. Imperio y la Republica, en Star Wars Squadrons tenemos la posibilidad de jugar dos visiones de una misma historia.
Este estilo de narración no lineal es algo que aprecio mucho, además que mientras juegas una faceta de la historia, te estas preguntando ¿Qué paso con la otra mitad? ver como se va desentramando la narración es muy agradable, la verosimilitud entre escena y escena tienen un montaje digno de Star Wars.
Un Excelente Trabajo
Como siempre todos los juegos de Lucasarts y EA tienen una optimización por no decir excelente, brutal. El juego corre perfecto en todas sus resoluciones y en 1080p se ve ESPECTACULAR.
Cinemáticas INCREIBLES
Las cinemáticas del juego no se quedan atras. El arte que acompaña a la narración es sencillamente brutal, parece que estuviéramos viendo una serie de Filoni en Disney +. Creo que cualquier fan de Star Wars va a alucinar con este juego.
Multiplayer a FULL COMBATE
No podía falta el Multijugador. Así es, Squadrons no se queda atrás y nos propone un multijugador muy bien desarrollado de combates estelares. PVP y Misiones se apoderan de la escena galáctica. Podrás personalizar tu nave, comprar armamento, tu cabina, mejorar tus atributos y subir tu rango como piloto Imperial o de la Nueva Republica. Una conexión a los servidores realmente buena en comparación a otros juegos de EA. Creo que esto otorga mucho juego luego de terminar la gran campaña.
Conclusiones
Star Wars Squadrons es sin lugar a dudas un juego que no tiene desperdicio. Si eres fan de la saga, sin lugar a dudas no solo vas a disfrutar, sino que vas a anexar parte de la historia de Star Wars que todavía no conoces a tu colección. Además claro de gozar de un fabuloso gameplay lleno de acción y adrenalina. Si eres fan de los juegos espaciales y de naves bueno créeme que con Squadrons vas a disfrutar un montón.
