Mirrors Edge was a revolutionary game for its time. Faced the Parkour fashion at that time, was a title that used the first-person view to show something more than a shooter, a new experience climbing walls without having to be a superhero or a special human.
A seasoned character is a protagonist: Faith. Who seeks to free citizens from systematic control of system operations. Ah, she and her organization are called the runners, flying from the rooftops, hacking the policemen, and doing vandalism, they are accused of being terrorists and criminals, always being fugitives from justice.
In Mirrors Edge Catalyst we are going to play the story that follows Faith and her gang, after their release from federal prison.
An enveloping city
The city of Mirrors Edge is one of the best in architecture, design, and 3D modeling that I have been able to play with. Our adventure focuses on the roofs, and it is not for less than all the graphic beauty is focused on here. Despite being a game from a few years ago, it is so well designed that it has nothing to envy from current games. That is to say, it is a gratifying graphical experience, and above all very well-optimized.
Direct Action and pure Adrenaline
In this second installment, we will have many more hand-to-hand confrontations, unlike the first title. This time we can even apply fighting techniques and weapon handling in a much more dynamic and fluid way.
The game maintains the same sensation of adrenaline when running throughout the city, as well as blur and motion effects when jumping and going at high speed have been improved. Without a doubt, the camera is second to none, since it has no movement loss and much fewer gyroscope problems for the player's vision.
Is Mirrors Edge Catalyst worth it?
If you want to play a different first-person experience, very well optimized, with spectacular graphics and an immersive story in a systematized future, this game is for you. I even recommend that you can play the first Mirrors Edge since it is a game that will not only complement this one, but you would be playing the whole story in order, and believe me, you will enjoy it a lot.

Mirrors Edge fue un juego revolucionario para su tiempo. Encarado por la moda del Parkour en aquel momento, fue un titulo que utilizo la vista en primera persona para mostrar algo más que un shooter, una nueva experiencia trepando por los muros sin necesidad de ser un superheroe o un humano especial.
Una personaje aguerrida es la protagonista: Faith. Quien busca liberar a los ciudadanos del control sistemático de las operaciones del sistema. Ah ella y su organización le llaman los corredores, volando por las azoteas, hackeando a los politicos y haciendo vandalismos, son acusados de terroristas y criminales, siendo siempre prófugos de la justicia.
En Mirros Edege Catalyst vamos a jugar la historia que sigue a Faith y a su banda, luego de su salida de una prisión federal.
Una ciudad envolvente
La ciudad de Mirrors Edge es una de las mejores en arquitectura, diseño y modelado 3D que he podido jugar. Nuestra aventura se centra en los techos, y no es para menos que toda la belleza gráfica se centre aquí. A pesar de ser un juego de hace algunos años, esta tan bien diseñado que no tiene nada que envidiar a los juegos actuales. Es decir, es una experiencia gráfica realmente gratificante, y sobre todo muy bien optimizada.
Acción Directa y pura Adrenalina
En esta segunda entrega tendremos muchos más enfrentamientos cuerpo a cuerpo a diferencia del primer titulo. Esta vez incluso podremos aplicar técnicas de pelea y manejo de armas de una manera mucho más dinámica y fluida.
El juego mantiene la misma sensación de adrenalina al momento de correr por toda la ciudad, como también se mejoraron los efectos de blur y montion al momento de saltar e ir a gran velocidad. Sin duda alguna la cámara es insuperable, ya que no tiene perdida alguna al movimiento y mucho menos problemas de giroscopio para la visual del jugador.
¿Vale la pena Mirros Edge Catalyst?
Si quieres jugar una experiencia diferente en primera persona, muy bien optimizada, con gráficos espectacular y una historia envolvente en un futuro sistematizado este juego es para ti. Incluso te recomiendo si puedes jugar el primer Mirrors Edge ya que es un juego que no solo te va a complementar este, sino que estarías jugando toda la historia en orden, y créeme que la vas a disfrutar muchísimo.
