Soon a friend of mine asked me to accompany him to a small Burgas neighborhood near Banevo. The man has a cottage in this place which he has not visited in several years. He wanted to see what condition the place was in, and I had not been to that area, so I agreed.
We grabbed the bicycles and headed there.
Although it is a cottage area near an urban area, the place looks quite abandoned. There are no streets, only dirt roads, some of which are completely overgrown with tall grass.
Passing by the houses, the man told how years ago there were well-kept gardens, orchards and vineyards here.
Here and there you could see neat gardens.
So we got to my friend's place. The place was also overgrown with grass and looked like it hadn't been visited in years. Too bad the friend didn't have time to fix it and deal with it. The yard could be turned into a wonderful garden with flowers and vegetables.
We continued to cycling around.
We saw a fallen watchtower.
We arrived at a small villa that looked like it had been quite neat and nice years ago, with a beautiful garden and tidy alleys. It was now abandoned and falling apart.
We reached a place where there used to be a fire station.
Nearby was a low rock on top of which a charming yellow yarrow was in bloom.
The surrounding meadow was ablaze with the white blossoms of the raven onion.
Although the place was abandoned, nature found a way to infuse the place with charm.
