There's a need to be intentional and creative when it comes to resetting and reenergizing as a minimalist on a budget. The ability to critically lay down a creative plan that's cost-friendly will help achieve one's goal without having to break the bank, and I for one have a few ideas and acts I partake in during such a period to have a remarkable experience that's focused on relaxation and bonding, and without further ado, I'll share my idea with you.
As a minimalist, it's understandable that sticking to one's budget is a very difficult thing to do, especially when we've got to incorporate the needs of our loved ones into our budget. Had it been ours alone, that's even much easier, as we've usually developed a committed spirit that's okay with saying no to ourselves, especially when one needs to go above our budget, but when it comes to our loved ones, saying no too often to them could give them a different picture of us, leading into thinking one is selfish or self-centered, and that's where the need for creativity must come in to save the day.
One of the most effective ones I've tried in my family for rejuvenation, connection, and relaxation is a homebase entertainment show. This could be as simple as a movie night where everyone gathers together to enjoy an interesting movie or a talent show. I remember we held the later two years ago in my family; it was during Christmas, and everyone was suggesting different plans on how to make the Christmas season a remarkable one.
And we had suggestions from traveling to the beach to visiting the park and the like, but then after looking into our budget, I realized we'll have to break the bank to achieve that, and so I suggested that we stay at home and have a family entertainment show. At first, it felt strange to everyone, but after explaining that it's more like a talent show, everyone buys the idea and starts volunteering to either showcase their talent by singing, eating, telling jokes, and many more.
That particular Christmas ended up being one of the most memorable one we've had in years, as we ourselves entertained ourselves with our talent and even laughed at ourselves, especially when someone who can't sing goes to the stage and starts singing awkwardly off Key. It was just mind-blowing, and we had an amazing experience at a very cost-friendly price and entertained ourselves with home-made food during the show.
At the end of the day, we've didn't even spend up to ten percent of the budget we laid down initially while planning in the first place, and yet everyone was entertained, and even yarn for such to be done in subsequent Christmas and holidays we spent together as a family, because it fosters family bonding, connection, rejuvenation, and talent discovery all achieved without breaking the bank or going above our budget.
Hive Power Up Day
Welcome to the month of August, everyone. I pray we'll all have a pleasant experience throughout the month and have reasons to celebrate always. As this is the eighth edition of the power-up day for this year 2024, I've decided to participate today as well, in line with my commitment to do so throughout this year.
So this month, I have powered up 20 hive, and that has increased my hive power to a total of 10377 hive in total. This is a good improvement for me, and I'm happy because after powering up last month, my hive power was 9868, which means I've had an increase of 509 hive within the month of July. Well, we're now in August, and I hope my plans to increase my hive power to my goal for the year will be fulfilled, and a minimum of 400 HP added to this would be a good month for me.
All photos are mine.
