Today, the new BMW 5-series made its debut. This is one of the most important cars in the premium class, at least so far, because after this year's Shanghai Motor Show, the automotive world will not be the same as it used to be. BMW has prepared very clear infographics and if someone likes specifics, they will find the most important information about the new car.
In terms of changes in the automotive market, I think that the most interesting is the electric variety, i.e. the BMW i5.
Two variants will be available:

In terms of control automation, the new '5' will receive partially automated driving and parking systems. Driving Assistant Professional, including Steering and Lane Control Assist and Distance Control with Stop & Go function. In selected markets (USA, Canada and Germany) you can get the Highway Assistant that allows you to take your hands off the steering wheel up to a speed of 130 km/h, but you need to stay focused on the road at all times. The BMW 5 is the first car in the world to receive Active Lane Change Assistant with eye confirmation. If the system suggests a lane change, the driver can confirm the manoeuvre with his eyes by looking in the side mirror.
