Tucker Carlson interviewed Roger Ver in Spain while facing a 109 year charge by the US. Insane story.

Dort drohen ihm 109 Jahre Haft.

Tucker Carlson interviewed Roger Ver in Spain.

In April of this year, Roger Ver was unexpectedly arrested in Spain at the request of the U.S. for alleged tax offenses that occurred 10 years ago, even though Roger is no longer a U.S. citizen.

Don't agree with all of Roger Ver's views, but think he should not be prosecuted by the US justice system and arrested abroad.

Roger Ver was initially a big Bitcoin supporter, but then forked Bitcoin in the Blocksize War debate and claimed that the block size of Bitcoin was not increased because of interventions by a secret service so that Bitcoin would not establish itself as a payment system.

I do not share this view. In 2017, there were good technical arguments both for and against an immediate block size increase, but the winner was to increase the block size cautiously with a soft fork (SegWit). There is now also a micro-payment system for Bitcoin in the form of Lightning. Fun fact: Before Bitcoin Cash, there was already a Bitcoin fork with four times the block size: Litecoin.

What Roger is right about, however, is that the block size of Bitcoin will also have to be increased in the future. He is absolutely right about that.

Scaling blockchains remains a major challenge for all blockchains. Blockchain trilemma.

What do you think of the interview and the fact that Roger Ver is to be extradited to the US? He is facing 109 years in prison there.

I think he should be extradited to the US.

!BBH

The United States now has no right to punish him, because he is no longer a US citizen.

Carlson does quite a lot of interesting interviews recently to people not liked by the US... They should not have arrested him

I'm not that knowledgable about BTCs blocksize and the different forks. If we just goes to adoption and price it looks like $BTC looks to be winning big time.

It feels similar to the $ETH and Ethereum classic battle.

Will have to check out the interview.

Spain is not a good place to fall into the hands of justice.

Ok verstehe, so halbwegs.

I don't understand how someone with such significant resources, intelligence, justified fear of governments and no dependents got himself caught in Spain, especially after John McAfee was arrested there.

What is it with Spain anyway? Its crime ridden, has a leftist government that cares more about animals than people.

There are many ways and places to keep away from "imperial entanglements" if you have resources, technical skills and no dependents.

Indeed crazy story, also Kim Dotcom recently is set to be extradited from New Zealand to the US. Telegram CEO Pavel Durov got arrested in France.

I would have thought it was obvious that if the US Deep State is after you then stay away from US vassal states.

@vikisecrets! @tsnaks likes your content! so I just sent 1 BBH to your account on behalf of @tsnaks. (2/5)

Spain seems to be a problematic country, first it was telegram boss and now this.

Telegram boss was arrested in France, McAfee in Spain.

Oh ohh my bad!
Thank you 😊

109 years? Sounds like over-kill. This is looking like Roger is being set up to be made an example of. With Trump being PRO-Bitcoin will the new President elect give Roger a pardon?

I don't know too much about him, but it sucks to hear that he is facing 109 years. I hope it isn't that long and the conditions aren't as bad.
