Happened on 21st day of December, some elders, teenage, and youngsters were gathered at the beach that day to relax, unwind, and give time for their selves to have an all out fun...
Hello everyone in this community. Its been a while since the last time I posted a travel blog. I know I have missed a lot time to engage with the wonderful people in here. So,today, I will start taking action to do it once again. Without any further ado, I welcome you all to my blog.
Some elders here in our barrio created a group for those who are still on the process of paying the full payment of their motorcycle. They named it "Motoray" in which all of the members are obliged to give their monthly contribution worth PHP 250.00 each. On the day of the payment, one of the members will get the total amount being accumulated so that he or she can pay his or her monthly contribution on the company where he or she was obliged to pay for the installment. I don't know when it started exactly but it was when I was still in college. As the days and years gone by, the members are growing in number. It was indeed a great help for the debtors.
When all of the members fully paid their motorcycle, they didn't leave the group. Instead, they decided to continue the monthly contribution for the purpose of having an amount to be spent for special occasions. And last Wednesday, they all agreed to go to the beach. Actually, I am not a member but my Aunt persuaded me to come with them for she wants me to drive her motorcycle. And because I want to join too, yes, I really did come and joined the fun.
All agreed to go to the "D Heritage Beach" located at San Juan Hilongos, Leyte. It is one of the best beaches near at town though it is not a white sand beach.
We arrived at the venue around 11:30 AM that day. We used the other route away from the national high away, so that we can avoid the check points, especially that I still don't have my own drivers license. Fast forward, when we got there, some of our companions were started eating and because of that, my Aunt said that we should eat too. "My apologies for not taking a photo of the foods, I am really hungry at that time." Lol. XD. We have Grilled pork and fish, Pancit, Menudo, and Dinuguan. For refreshments, they prepared iced juices and soft drinks. As for the dessert, they prepared "Biko" (glutinous rice with latik) which looks like this.
After eating, I went to the beach, all by myself. I actually didn't join the fun of bathing. Instead, I just take time to walk in the seaside and took some photos around. And these are some of my captures.
When I got tired of walking, I went back to our cottage and spent a little time with my partner over a video call. Few minutes after, we started the games. As for the prices, they managed to collect a total amount of PHP 1,200 right at that time. One of the highlights is the "Egg Smash Challenge."
From the name itself, the goal of this game is to smash the egg using a stick while being blindfolded. The only way of the participants to be able to get the chance to smash the egg is to follow the given instructions, so as the direction given by the people around. But before that, they should first turn around five times before starting to trace the spot where the egg was being placed. For this game, we managed to get seven participants including my Aunt.
I took a video of it which I posted in my facebook account a day after. I want to put it in here but I think it will take me time to do it because its quite a long video. So, if you want to see the full video, just click the link. I just took some screenshots of how it went.

The winner of that game was Kuya Arnel. He won PHP 150 or about $3.
After which, games for the kids follows. But I decided to go back to our cottage already because I was tired of standing and laughing out loud from the earlier game. And with that I only got a photo of them wearing their genuine smiles for winning the game.
At around 4:30 pm, we all decided to go home. I took a photo of these coconut trees surrounding the whole place.I just can't believe that these has survived the super typhoon Odette. Well, one year had passed though. Look how strong and healthy these coconut trees are.
Ending Thoughts:
Its truly a best time to experiences wonderful events in our lives together with our family and friends. I really had a great time with them and even a bit of regret for joining the fun, never came to my mind. Though I have a lot of stressful things in my head, still, I thanked God for the experiences I had together with them. It was truly an all out fun!
That would be all. Thank you for your spending your time.
MAY THE GRACE OF THE LORD BE WITH ALL GOD'S PEOPLE!😇
