Hello Team Alive
I'm relieved to be writing a Friday post. The week dragged, but work is finally becoming more manageable with a less punishing call volume.
To simplify this statement for people who are unfamiliar with call center work, I refer to calls per hour. The beginning of January signals "First Quarter."
In the health insurance industry First Quarter brings many variables. Members are expecting new identification cards, they're questioning benefit changes, requesting corrections on enrollment information and demographics, seeking informative on health savings account balances and more. I'm happy that January has closed.
Today I closed a few of my more challenging inquiries. One inquiry involved downloading all of 2022 claims explanation of benefits for one child on a contract. This equalled eighty-six explanation of benefits. The task took a good part of the morning and required six emails to send to get printed and mailed to the member. It's like closing the door on a bad relationship. It comes with a sigh of relief.
Another migraine decided to come roost. Fortunately, symptoms weren't so extreme that work suffered. The migraine responded to Excedrin and backed off until 4:30 quitting time.
My son picked up my two grandsons for the weekend.
My thirteen year old grandson:
And his eight year old brother.
I've been sitting in my chair reading and writing on Hive while my husband is channel surfing, the oldest grandson is playing video games and the youngest is watching YouTube shorts.
Next up I am heading to Amazon.com to shop for a crinoline for the Sweetheart Banquet next Saturday. I purchased the dress and shoes for the 50s themed event and I'm adding the crinoline to my ensemble.
I'm alive, thriving and blessed more than I deserve. The photographs were taken on my Galaxy Note 22 Ultra Plus smartphone.
