Today has been a special day, it started with calm, focused and present working day at my job full of positivity, good comunications while I had a feeling mushrooms are calling me after work.
First I cleaned my car inside out, as everything is blooming my car turned from sky blue to yellow, where I really had to do something about it. Helped me clean my car, my body and my soul.
Then I went to drop about 15 safety helmets that we didn't intent to use anymore and donated them to a stranger in need. Two are reserved for aunt's family for when they are cutting tree's in the forest, to be extra safe from falling branches.
On my way back home I turned right to a place where we hunted down mushrooms ever since I was born, tried and tested out a location I haven't scouted yet this year. After only 15minutes I found a nice big fallen tree over the river full of familiar mushrooms. Took me another 10 minutes to google up as much as possible, now after making a test for dinner I'm certain I found a nice healthy spawn of Oyster mushrooms, that I tasted for the first time. They are delicious!
Went on another walk around to try and find anything else, as I was turning back up hill to the car, I found a very familiar color out in the open. It was perfectly timed Chicken of the woods that contains many medicinal purposes, vitamin and all the goodies within.
Amazing start of the hunting season, I haven't been much on the look out, but now I know it is that time of the year. Haven't found any morels, but summer is my time of the year, full of roadtrips, mysteries and mushrooms. :)
