As to diseases, make a habit of two things; to help or at least to do no harm.

Hello dear Hivean, welcome back!
Another fun, playful, hardworking week has passed again full of shared knowledge, new experiences, different reactions than usual with good company and awesome attitudes towards each other.
Them more 'battles' I win in myself, better, improved, high quality life becomes as the result. Have been focusing to give my best, improve my skills, my daily routines, get better winning over my bad habits and trying to help my amazing mother all along.
This year I've mostly worked on completely letting go of old bad moments, bad reactions, hurt, evil, past unhealthy relationships to forgive everything, mostly myself, to finally stop holding myself back. One of those people has also been my amazing mother that has been with me whole 27 years.
Now I know that everything she ever did, was with her best intentions, the best possible way she knew how to do anything and everything, especially cooking, she is an amazing cook!
Last month she didn't have much luck with her old car, breaking down, not running right, making noises and making her lose all trust in it. That is when we decided to sell our old Polo and while we were collecting delicious blueberries, I found a car that would also make a great road trip and a nice story to share with you all.
Going on a road trip
It started on a nice sunny Saturday when somebody picked me up (used - prevozi.org) and drove me to our beautiful coastal city Koper where I went on a nice walk by the sea and slowly made my way to the meeting point where me and the seller met.
He told me to wait on an electric bus he is driving, got up and there I started with the fun part, first time experience on a city electric bus, it felt funny. The seller drove me to the garage where he had parked his red Golf, drove it out and passed me the keys.
As he was on the job working, he trusted me with some personal info and id card and told me that I can drive on the coast for around 30 minutes and then call him what I think of it, rather how much I liked it.
It was a Volkswagen Golf 1.9 SDI from a 1st owner with only 218k kilometers, double checked our vin scanner app - avtolog. It had dings, scratches, rust, it wasn't new and is on the road since 2002.
First Test drive
Started with getting it up to working temperature, checked the engine bay, brakes that looked like they were almost new, checked all the fluids, tires and a slow drive threw the city and up to the highway and on my way to Izola.
Stopped at a beautiful location, old one for me where I usually always made my first jump in the sea after driving down to the coast for over 10 years now. There I checked underneath, saw some rust, realized the clutch isn't best and looked for any structual damage or heavy rust.
Here I realized that it really needs an oil change with all the filters.
Nothing major for a car at this age, with around 4l / 100km consumption, good paint, smooth engine with a great start and sharp, precise manual gearshifts.
Continued going over several speed bumps, then turned to the hills where there was a twisted roads and continued my way on gavel to listen for any rattles, unusual characteristics, test the hand break uphill and call my mother to share what I see, feel to ask what she thinks of it.
The deal
On my way back I went on petrol station to fill it up when I got the call to meet with the seller, made several jokes till then and met in Koper where they register and inspect cars. Told him that it is for my mother, that it does need work that I do like the car, but I'm not willing to give the asking price, where I will use some to change 2 tires and make a complete engine service so the car will be safe & reliable for my amazing mother that really deserves it.
Making it probably the cheapest running Golf SDI (non turbo) in the country.
As we shaked hands and went our own ways a guy from Germany asked me for help with his car, that had accident previous night to find a mechanic, but unfortinately I didn't know anyone working on Saturday in those hours, but called the police if they had any lead on the run away vehicle. He had a BMW 1 series that didn't have any spare tire, to be able to drive around. They had a puppy, no spare water on a hot sunny day so I gave them one liter of water I had left, and while the undercover cop got to check another local passed ,when I asked him if he knows anyone. After several calls he came back with a mechanic and that is where I left, knowing they were in good hands.
Jumping in the water
By now the clock hit 14.30 when I got to the beach between Portorož and Izola, where there is free parking and takes about nice 15 minute walk that I really don't mind as it is healthy for the mind, body and soul. Also a nice way to get some fresh air after all this. Was in real need of a nice fresh swim as I love swimming, diving, jumping in water and everything in between.
Also fell a sleep, more of a powernap in the shades after getting out of the water for the first time. When waked up I jumped in the water three more times to really wake up, then changed my clothes.
Drive back home
Started the drive back home at around 15.20, got lucky with not much traffic, as I knew the car really needs an oil change I kept at 110 km/h and safe distance before getting to know the car.
Took several stops on my way home to check if everything is ok. The car really has power for a car without a turbo, after 200 kilometers I got to mum's house to surprise her.
We went on a short drive around the block, got some ice cream, a nice quick wash of the car and got back home.
Hive Power up day, Yay!
While writing this post I found out I somehow can't transfer Hive from an exchange I managed to accumulate over two months. Will still Power up as much as I can as I set goal to reach at least 10k HP before this amazing year ends. Don't have any graph to show, but I know what I want, have clear focus on my goals in life and following the path in right this moment.
Just found out you need an authenticator or hive auth, what authenticator do you use? - I like to be sure & secure
I'm really grateful to be fortunate enough to be able to buy a car for my amazing mother that loves driving at age 67. Grateful to be apart of this amazing platform where I can share and safe memories like this for ever, that I'm healthy in body, mind and soul and getting healthier by every passing day. I realize nothing is for granted, what we give around, comes around and that our mind can only be focused on one thought at it time, so I try keeping all mine positive or switch to them if needed.
Thank you for stopping by, wishing you a great, healthy, strong and positive start of the week!
