Hive Open Mic Community, I remain yours faithful Wealthwess and as always i’m excited to be here today for this week’s concert. We are now in week 214 and our recent spotlight artist choose Take Me Home as the theme of this week, and without thinking too much of the song to present i decided to go with Skylar Grey song titled Coming Home. This song is a powerful and emotionally based song, because it’s explores the themes of redemption, self-discovery, and the longing for a place of belonging. I believe at one point in life we all have to leave our place of comfort and venture into the world based on many reasons like, a case of either finding oneself or finding means to provide for one’s family, either way, this has to do with us leaving our various home and chasing our different dreams/careers. I remember when i couldn’t celebrate Christmas and New Year with my parents for like 3years in a row all because i was out there chasing my dreams and those moments i do miss home and truly wish i was with them for the festive period, smiles. So this week’s theme is quite lovely and I’m glad I’ve the opportunity to present this cover of this song with everyone and i do hope you find it enjoyable.
