I am normally a Splinterlands player and blog creator - so what's brought me to this new game?
First of all, I'm growing my interest in the Hive engine. Having previously used it for Splinterlands and blogging, I thought it was about time to expand my views of the overall network and see what else there was to offer!
We are also in quite a quiet phase of Splinterlands news and updates, meaning my blog posts have dried up! While I am still actively playing and accumulating assets (With a blog post coming on exactly which cards I'm hoarding coming up!), we are still a long way to the next airdrop card's release, and even further to Riftwatchers! This means outside of my Daily and Season rewards, there is less to capture me in Splinterlands, and while enjoying it, it is a great time to look for a new daily earner!
Enter Rising Star: A Hive Engine Free-To-Play Play-To-Earn Blockchain game! (Is that enough buzzwords for this blog to trend?)
No initial investment, no need to buy NFTs before playing... So why not give it a go?
The concept of the game is simple: You start off as a street musician and you aim to become famous! You do this by completing missions to earn starbits, used to buy NFTs that represent your fans and skill (Wish I could convert some of my money to skill in real life...)
So what does your first 24 hours get you? Well in my case, it was 643 Starbits!
Now that's only 0.15 Hive (About $0.15), but as we all know with these sorts of games, earnings scale fast! And it was completely free!
Now you may see I have 2 cards down in the bottom left - I did take some of my DEC from Splinterlands to invest in a cold pizza slice and a pizza box - to restore my energy more often and more efficiently! However, I have had no use out of these since I bought them - the pizza was on cooldown when I bought it and the pizza box hasn't stored a drop yet! I spent a total of 5.6 Hive on these two - meaning even if my earnings don't scale in 2 months I'll have paid for them!
All in all, I have enjoyed my first day of Rising Star, and am definitely going to incorporate the game into my daily patterns. I plan to do 1 week and 1 month earning reports, and then monthly from then on, to show the growth that's possible at extremely low investment levels!
