Hi there wholesome reader!
From my previous blog post, I have shared to you that I traveled to Singapore. A trip in the said country wouldn't be complete without a visit at the most famous theme park – the Universal Studios Singapore.
I expected to have lots of fun here, even though I am not the kind of person who truly enjoys rides. Anyhow, here are three tips to make most of your visit at Universal Studios Singapore!
Different Ways to Get There
The Universal Studios Singapore is located in Sentosa Island. To reach the island, there are three options: by monorail train, by car cable, or by foot. Yes, you can reach the island by foot, which we never knew during our trip. This hack was shared to me by my sister, sadly a few weeks after our trip.
Upon arriving at VivoCity, you can opt to walk through the Sentosa Boardwalk. This pathway connects VivoCity to Sentosa Island. This is the cheapest way as you won’t be charged an entrance fee or something. Walking on the boardwalk is totally free, as of writing.
I wish I knew about this. The boardwalk is surely the more scenic route compared to riding the Sentosa Express. If you like exploring places by walking, I’d recommend walking through the boardwalk. Plus, you’d get to save 4SGD from the trip. The cost may be insignificant but exploring the road less taken by will surely make the trip more unforgettable.
You Need a Day to Enjoy Everything
I should have known that to be able to fully enjoy this place, one have to allocate one day of enjoying the rides and the views. The attraction has seven themed areas: Madagascar, Far Far Away (Shrek theme), The Lost World, Ancient Egypt (including The Mummy), Sci-Fi City (including Transformers) and New York (including Sesame Street).
During our visit, we only allocated three hours to enjoy the place. As a result, we were not able to visit some of the themed zones such as Far Far Away and The Lost World.
Book a Ticket in Advance!
If given another chance to travel Singapore, my first agenda, for sure, would be revisiting Universal Studios again. This time, I should allocate one full day in the said theme park and enjoy as many rides as I can! 🤞🏼
To enjoy a hassle-free visit at the theme park, it is highly recommended for you to book an entry pass in advance. Based from experience, we booked from Klook at least a month before our actual visit.
Booking in advance removes the hassle of having to line up in their ticket booth and gives you the convenience of getting through the gates so easily. I would also recommend to go as early as the opening time (10AM) to avoid big crowds.
Thank you for reading my post up to this point. I hope you have a great time ahead! I'll take delight in writing for you again soon.
Love, Sam ♡
