Since I quit my job as a Systems Consultant, I've been waking up without the sound of my alarm and unexpectedly, early. Lol, I guess my body clock is used to waking up early and I intend not to disrupt this routine since I've seen positive effects from it.
Today is Loki's bath-day, yay! For new readers/followers, Loki is our family pet and is our gentle giant baby. He may be a very big doggo but he's too soft for this world. 🤧
My major plans for this morning included bathing Loki and making apple pancakes for breakfast. Let's make our breakfast first before we tend Loki.
So, I was just browsing through YouTube last night and stumbled upon an interesting recipe that is the apple cinnamon pancakes. And since we ran out of cinnamon, it's just the plain apple pancakes. We bought a pancake mixture and all we have to add is water. This mixture is good to cook already and it made eight (8) fluffy pieces.
The toppings is composed of chopped apples, and caramelized brown sugar. In a pan, melt enough butter then add the apples, brown sugar and 1/4 cup of water. Cook for 10-15 minutes until the apples soften and the sugar is caramelized.
After I ate my breakfast, I bathed Loki. Since he loves water so much, bathing him is always an enjoyable activity for both of us. He patiently sits on the same spot, while waiting for me to finish scrubbing his body. And he stands when told to do so, so that I can clean the bottom part of his body.
After bathing, we went inside the house to blow-dry his fur. As usual, he just behaves and enjoys the moment. Definitely, he is the goodest boy of all good boys. He deserved a treat after all the bathing and drying. Good job, Loki! 🐶
