Hello Hive family! Happy great and prosperous 2024 ππ
I have always longed to publish my posts in the Thoughtful Daily Post Community and here I am for the first time and it happens to be my first post for the year.
Hope you all had a memorable time with family and friends during the Christmas and new year celebrations?
The new year has begun and I'm sure you started setting goals to be achieved this year in December 2023 or even earlier than that.

For me, I began my plans and set goals for 2024, the last week of September 2023, that's quite early, right? Well, I had to, it was the moment I rediscovered myself after some down moments, ill health and other activities outside Hive. I took advantage of the privacy I had at that moment and the first thing to do was to get into my mind and get it back to work.
Was I successful, Oh! Yes.
How did I do it? Well, I started practicing mindfulness, journaling and affirmations and was more intentional about it. Trust me, it's therapeutic.
But why did I do so? Well, I believe that everything begins from the mind and having a positive and healthy mindset is a powerful tool to achieve our goals and become better. I realised I wasn't doing enough to hit my goals in 2023 and had to take actions in order not to be repeated this year.
I nurtured my mindset, guarded it, and still guarding it. This gets me ready for what is to come, the unexpected.
In November 2023, I enrolled for three digital skill courses for 2024 to help develop my skills and purchased another course for freelancing in December, to begin my freelancing journey in top freelancing platforms and this will commence next week (I've always wanted this as a source of income).
Also, not forgetting my goals to achieve here on Hive and explore more, it's a MUST to hit. I know I will do a lot better this year on Hive as I wasn't active enough last year.
I'm all out to take actionable steps to hit my goals this year, one after another, with the right mindset.
However, if by halfway into 2024, I find out that all I have been doing to execute my plans and achieve my goals were yielding little or no result or maybe, somehow, the results are not satisfying or giving the desired outcome, and all my wishes and hopes are not attained...
You know what?
I will not be worried, it's never going to get me a solution. I need not waste time on that, instead, channel it towards finding a solution. I've learnt how to accept situations and get back again.

I will go ahead with this approach:
β First, I will take a PAUSE, KEEP CALM, REFLECT, RESTRATEGIZE, and GET BACK to my DRAWING BOARD to REDESIGN and REORGANISE my plans before I START and TAKE ACTIONS again.
β While doing so, I will remain positive and optimistic about the new strategy and design I am about to embark on to achieve my goals.
β Also, I will seek ADVICE from EXPERTS who have been successful with proven results, read more and watch videos to enlighten me more, to unlearn, learn, and relearn.
That way, I know that by December 2024, I would have achieved all my goals or at least 80-90% of them which is fair enough.
Okay, let me explain further:
β Taking a PAUSE and staying CALM when there is a problem to fix, is a powerful first step to take. In a calm situation, I am able to REFLECT and detect the source of the problem, there could be something I did not do right or might have missed out in the process, and then, proffer a solution to fix it.
I will be back again to share a story on how I resolved a problem that swallowed over $1000 $100 just by staying calm for a moment. So, watch out for it.
Edit: $100 not $1000
β At the point of RESTRATEGIZING, a perfect solution is figured out, to take a different approach which I need to adapt to, in order to be successful.
β It is a fresh start, so GETTING BACK to the DRAWING BOARD, REDESIGNING and ORGANISING my plans and how they will be executed, is the guide I need to START TAKING ACTIONABLE STEPS for an improvement and watching myself swim to success with great results.
β Of course I don't know it all, so seeking ADVICE and more knowledge from EXPERTS, will give me a sense of confidence in taking the new approach to excute my plans and achieve my desired outcome.
