After the murder of her father, teenage Tasha was traumatized and refused to utter a word to nobody instead, she gave glances in response to questions. She finally spoke out on the next visit of the detective.
"Did you witness anything that night miss Tasha?" He pulled his chair closer as he straightened his tie while watching her closely. The room was silent for a while and one could hear the heartbeat of the next person. "I wasn't asleep that night so I saw everything" her response was cold as tears trickled down her cheeks. "This should be of use," he said, handing her a tissue. She looked at it for a while before taking it from him burying her face in it and sobbing even more.
After a while she lifted up her face "I'll give you all the information you need to know but I'm certain the orchestrator of this crime is a close relative" her face tight and deadly she wiped the tears off her face.
"I know everything about my father, he taught me all I needed to know even till the night of his murder, I miss him. There was a minute of silence before she broke it again. "Detective Marlow, I want you to question every member of this household before you think of following trails to find the people who finished the job by killing him, on the night my father was murdered, he came to my room and his words before walking out my door were don't ever trust these people". She got up from the seat and walked out while the detective sat dumbfounded in his chair nodding his head and biting his pen. He let out a grin as he shut his little journal, sliding it into his Pocket. He took a quick survey around the house before waving goodbye to Tasha who at the time was already standing outside taking deep breaths.
"Lunch is served Miss" a lady dressed in black and white with a cap on her head and epron around her waist reported to the girl. She turned slowly, giving the lady a piercing look before dismissing her through body language.
There was commotion in the late Cosmo's house when the detective arrived the next day ready to question the rest of the family members. Most of them argued why they should be questioned while others let out loud cries but the detective had to do his job and they knew it. After questioning the nine members that were present, he asked them if that was all of them and one Mr Cletus immediately said "Yes" making him the head suspect.
The detective grinned while pacing around and his facial expression changed and he asked them again if there were all of them and one lady who was already trembling came out from behind where she stood with the rest of the members. She lifted her index finger and the detective focused his gaze on her "speak" he ordered. "There are two more, they left last night to Vetania, it's a small village in Castalda". She scanned her eyes through everyone who stood there, Mr Cletus trying so badly to keep his cool, kept clenching his fists as if to punch the person next to him. The detective jotted things down before closing his journal sliding it into his pocket he dismissed them but before he left he gave a quick glance at Mr Cletus which he understood.
"You should find somewhere safe to Lodge miss Tasha", the detective whispered before walking out the door. Tasha smiled as she knew that the main war was about to begin. She had prepared her passports for news as this one because she knew the whole time that her father sheltered strangers thinking they were relatives even though he had asked her not to trust any of them to the point of disclosing intimate family issues.
Sit tight for the mysteries yet to unfold.
