Online shopping, a nightmare to some and a breakthrough for others.
Shoutout to @reineesmay for inviting me to participate on this insightful topic;
“With the arrival of the global pandemic, online commerce has grown into something routine. Do you like shopping online? Have you had a bad purchase, the product you ordered did not arrive on time, or was not what was expected? Tell us about your experience or if you still don't buy online, tell us the reason.”
So long as I can remember, I entertain online shopping a lot because I don’t like going to stores to purchase things. Most of the times I do, I end up buying things I don’t need or the particular thing I need might not be available which will end up stressing me because now I have to go from shop to shop till I finally find what I desire.
Also, while I like online shopping I also take preventive measures. I manage to get one or two online plug that I trust and avoid buying from people I’ve had no experience with or other times I ask few friends to plug me to their vendors. This has really been a helpful hack because as a result I have never been scammed online.
Aside fast food I sometimes buy online and my skin care products, the only other commodity I purchase online are clothes. Never bags or shoes or especially wigs. I feel like that’s where the main problem with online shopping begin.
Bags might either be too big or too small, shoes might not be your size and wigs might be fake.
Meanwhile coming back to the topic, shopping online has been a breakthrough for me except the time what I got wasn’t exactly what I expected.
This happened the first time I started using a certain skincare brand.
It was as well my first purchase from them and I ordered the products online.
Judging from their Instagram page and the amount of reviews they had, my expectations sky rocketed not only for the quality of the product but also for the quantity.
I did not take a picture the first time I purchased which was about two years ago but recently I just ordered another set so I took pictures of them for the sake of this contest.
The first product is their vitamin C serum.
When I saw this on their website and when I got it, it was a bit similar in quantity. I’m no expert but I think this is the standard size for a serum bottle. So I wasn’t so displeased.
But this product though, the sunscreen really took me aback.
I’ve read that sunscreen should be used as frequently as possible and other brands I’ve purchased sunscreen from, come in bigger sizes. So I was surprised seeing how small it was. If I use this for three days won’t it run out?
Finally the face moisturizer.
I kind of expected this one because even on the website it’s a similar size. Either way, I still did not think it would be this little. The first time I purchased it though I just giggled because about the five products I got could fit into one hand.
Well I don’t entirely blame them because their products are definitely not pricey so for that amount, I guess it’s equivalent to that quantity.
Now that I know better, I either purchase more than one each or a bigger quantity of the products I need.
Thanks for reading.
I would like to invite @asherrobert and @atyourservice to participate with me. I apologize in advance if someone else tagged you already but it’s the criteria for the contest so bare with me :)
