When mentioning Vietnamese coffee, one cannot help but mention Vietnamese iced coffee (cà phê sữa đá). It is one of the most well-known Vietnamese-style coffee. I am a coffee lover living in the coffee capital of Vietnam so why not I'm going to show you how to make this delicious drink at home.
In a Vietnamese coffee shop, you could easy to catch someone ordering a cup of Vietnamese iced coffee with a filter (phin) on top of the cup with coffee slowly dripping through the filler and dropping every drop of coffee into the glass containing sweetened condensed milk at bottom of the cup.
I like to have a cup of coffee with bread in the morning, what a wonderful feeling it is. If you have the chance to visit Vietnam, go to a cafe and order a Vietnamese iced coffee and a loaf of bread (bánh mì) to enjoy. I bet you’ll love it.

What is Vietnamese ice coffee (cà phê sữa đá)
Vietnamese iced coffee is made from dark roast coffee, it is slowly dripped through a stainless steel filter, and mixed with sweetened condensed milk and ice. For someone who doesn't like sweetened condensed milk then It also comes in a non-milk version, It's called cà phê đen đá.

Instruction

  1. Begin by bringing some water to a boil.
  2. Put the filter into a bowl and pour some boiling water through to preheat them. This will make the filter cleaner. The temperature is more evenly distributed, then makes coffee expands more evenly.

3 . Remove the filter disk inside the filter and pour coffee grounds into the chamber. Gently tap on the filter so that the coffee grounds are evenly distributed. Place the filter plate on top of the coffee grounds, gently press It down, and place the filter on top of the glass.

4 . Pour a small amount of water into the filter to just wet the coffee grounds, and some water in the lid and put the main chamber on the lid containing hot water, and wait for one to two minutes, this will let the coffee grounds expand a bit.
