One time, my friends and I took the time to visit Banda Aceh, one of the provinces in Indonesia. To fill our spare time, we made a pilgrimage to the Baiturahman Mosque which is evidence of the history of the Aceh kingdom in its heyday.

Many sources say that this mosque was founded in 1612 by a famous Sultan in the world, namely Sultan ISKANDAR MUDA. There are also other sources that say that this mosque was built by Sultan Alaudin Mahmudsyah in 1292 m.

For the Acehnese themselves, this mosque is a source of pride because it is historical evidence that Aceh was once a nation admired and respected by the world.
This mosque stands firmly in the center of Banda Aceh, which has now been beautifully renovated by the Aceh government.
In the past, more precisely in 1873, this mosque was burned during the Dutch military aggression, led by a general named Van Swieten.

Since the first, this mosque is not only intended for worship, but also as a place of Islamic education. In terms of the shape of the building, this mosque is so beautiful, there are hundreds of pillars carved in such a way. The basic color is white, the walls are carved with calligraphy, the floor is made of white marble with a black pattern, above it there are five black Qubahs which add to the beauty of this mosque.
The outside is decorated with a marble-floored garden that matches the color of the inside, the mosque appears with umbrellas that resemble the Prophet's mosque in Saudi Arabia.
Maybe that's just a brief history of the Baiturrahman Grand Mosque. And hopefully useful.!
