I painted this piece sometime last year. But, I lost the raw file when my system crashed. I tried recovering the hard drive but the file was corrupted, I was lucky that I saved this one somewhere.

The brief was for me to create something related to reggae dance. It was artwork for a song cover. The client linked up on Instagram. It was the pose that nailed the whole feeling and emotions I wanted to share.

The bending of the hand, twisting of the waist, swinging of the hair, and the whole body movement. You know what Jamaicans do when they're displaying their reggae dance moves. Gin joints, the entire piece started with just strokes of lines giving direction to the movement and I built upon that. Someday, If I can recover the raw files, I will undoubtedly share the steps and sketches.
