Graffiti Lettering Contest

@trippymane does a Graffiti Lettering Contest twice monthly and recently announced that he will be doing the letters "LUV" for his 14^th challenge.

My Entry

I thought of flowers, hearts and warm colors. I also added a bunny character that was supposed to look a bit coy or shy. The fact that it's a bunny could have many conceits, but I'l let you decide.

This reminded me of another painting I made a while back and decided to share in this blog post as well:

Painted this for someone a while back. It might be evident that she also loves animals. I was always very moved by the fact that animals felt really comfortable around her. Imagine when animals sense positive intentions and you can clearly witness that. It's magical. The idea in the painting was that love can be something free, liberating and natural in it's essence. Therefore I also added a bird.

Here was a part of the process:

I actually sprayed some varnish on it and that didn't turn out very good because all the colors got smudged. The painting therefore did not turn out as expected.
