Hola amigos de la bonita comunidad de Home Solutions, hoy quiero mostrarles un sencillo, pero interesante arreglo que realicé en mi casa y el cambio fue de cero a 10, con poca inversión y que mostrarán aspecto más agradable.
Hace un tiempo hice unos arreglos en mi cocina, pero la estructura de mi edificio tiene unos tornillos enormes y siempre quedaban expuestos. Era algo a lo que no se le suele dar importancia, pero cómo soy algo quisquillosa, hasta que no lo tapara no me iba a quedar tranquila.
Así que aproveché que estaban instalando un aire en mi casa y con el cemento de sobre le mandé a hacer un encofrado en madera el cual fue rellenado con cemento.
Hello friends of the beautiful community of Home Solutions, today I want to show you a simple, but interesting fix that I made in my house and the change was from zero to 10, with little investment and that will show more pleasant aspect.
Some time ago I did some repairs in my kitchen, but the structure of my building has some huge screws and they were always exposed. It was something that is not usually given importance, but as I'm a little picky, until I did not cover it I was not going to be quiet.
So I took advantage of the fact that they were installing an air conditioner in my house and with the cement I had a wooden formwork made, which was filled with cement.
Cuando el cemento secó, le eché barniz a la tabla de madera y le coloqué unos adornos que ya tenía en la casa y ya no sabía dónde colocar y quedó genial. Estoy esperando que me toque retocar la puntura de las puertas para colocarle otra mano de pintura, esta es una buena forma de tapar esos espacios que se ven feos.
Así que ese tornillo que no me gustaba se convirtió en un murito con mejor aspecto.
También otro de los arreglos que estoy haciendo es cambiar los tomacorrientes del apartamento por unos de mejor calidad, porque los que trajo el apartamento no quedan bien ajustados, tanto en los enchufes como de cargadores de celulares o ventiladores.
Aparte, muchos se estaban derritiendo porque había conectado la cafetera, o el tostiarepa, y ese enchufe ahí con aspecto derretido no me gustaba para nada.
When the cement dried, I varnished the wooden board and put some ornaments that I already had in the house and didn't know where to put them and it looked great. I'm waiting to touch up the doors to put another coat of paint, this is a good way to cover those ugly looking spaces.
So that screw that I didn't like became a better looking wall.
Also another of the repairs I am doing is to change the electrical outlets in the apartment for better quality ones, because the ones the apartment came with do not fit well, both in the plugs and in the cell phone chargers or fans.
Besides, many of them were melting because I had connected the coffee maker, or the tostiarepa, and I didn't like that socket there with a melted aspect at all.
Otra de las cosas que me incomodaban era que los enchufes eran de color beige, se veían amarillento, como cuando los plásticos blancos están viejos, se ponen amarillentos y esto me chocaba a la vista.
Así que fui a un supermercado y en el área de ferretería le dije al vendedor que me vendiera el mejor que tuviese, y me ofreció unos de la marca Run que se veían bien elegantes, en blanco y negro, y esto me evitaría los colores amarillentos cercandos al toma corriente.
pero, para serles sincera, yo le tengo miedo a la electricidad, respeto mucho su manipulación y no hago este tipo de reparaciones, así que le dije a mi esposo y, después de darle los dos tomacorrientes y que los tuviese guardados por un largo tiempo, aproveché que mi hermano me fue a visitar y lo puse a trabajar.
Another thing that bothered me was that the plugs were beige, they looked yellowish, like when white plastics are old, they turn yellowish and this shocked me.
So I went to a supermarket and in the hardware area I asked the salesman to sell me the best one he had, and he offered me some Run brand ones that looked very elegant, in black and white, and this would avoid the yellowish colors around the socket.
But, to be honest, I am afraid of electricity, I respect its manipulation and I don't do this kind of repairs, so I told my husband and, after I gave him the two outlets and he kept them for a long time, I took advantage of my brother's visit and I put him to work.
Le dio un poco de trabajo. porque el toma corriente no entraba en el hueco que tenía el anterior, así que rompió un poco las orillas de la pared y logró que entrara, pero en el caso de la cerámica, ahí sí tenía miedo de que al romper se me rompiera la cerámica, pero fue dándole golpecitos con el destornillador de pala y así se fue abriendo.
Finalmente, pudimos utilizar el enchufe y se ve genial, cada toma corriente me costó 7 dólares y espero progresivamente ir sustituyendo los enchufes anteriores, así que poco a poco iremos renovando y mejorando lo necesario para tener una mejor calidad de vida.
