I am pleased to share my interpretation of “You Don´t Know” on the trumpet, a song with a mix of genres such as Blues, Soul, and R&B composed by Eddy Arnold and Cindy Walker. My favorite version is the one by Ray Charles. The melody is charming and full of nuances, and the harmony is based on a blues progression. The lyrics speak of the pain and frustration of unrequited love. The original version is country. That is a striking phenomenon, where there are songs that are written in one genre, and then go through a transformation process by fusing other elements. I have been practicing it for a couple of days, since every time I record a song I hope to play it without mistakes and without having to edit the result. In the production process, it may be easier to edit parts and replace phrases that went wrong. But I think it is much better to avoid it and reduce the editing work.

Tengo el agrado de compartir mi interpretación con la trompeta «You Don´t Know», una canción con una mezcla de géneros como el Blues, el Soul y R&B compuesta por Eddy Arnold y Cindy Walker. Mi versión favorita es la de Ray Charles. La melodía es encantadora, llena de matices y la armonía está basada en una progresión blues. La letra habla del dolor y la frustración de un amor no correspondido. La versión original es country. Ese es un fenómeno llamativo, donde hay canciones que son escritas en un género, y luego pasan por un proceso de transformación al fusionar otros elementos. Tengo un par de días practicándola, ya que cada vez que grabo una canción espero tocarla sin errores y sin necesidad de editar el resultado. En el proceso de producción puede que sea más fácil, editar partes y sustituir frases que salieron mal. Pero creo que es mucho mejor evitarlo y reducir el trabajo de edición.
Sometimes we may feel like we are victims of prejudice. We all want to be accepted, seen, and valued. However, those prejudices should not stop us from achieving our full potential. Our value goes beyond the feelings, thoughts, and opinions of others. The important thing is not to get stuck on the subject. Some people get stuck on a subject and fail to internalize that their software has frozen. It is key to develop emotional resilience and strive to be self-compassionate in such cases. Some challenges are not solved with Control, Alt, and Delete. They must be faced calmly, and by doing things differently. You can set goals, move forward step by step, and celebrate your achievements. The secret to success is patience, this includes yourself and others.

En ocasiones podemos sentir que somos víctimas de prejuicios. Todos deseamos ser aceptados, visualizados y valorados. Sin embargo, esos prejuicios no deben detenernos en nuestro empeño de lograr nuestro máximo potencial. Nuestro valor individual va más allá de los sentimientos, pensamientos y opiniones de los demás. Lo importante es no quedarse pegado en el tema. Hay personas que se quedan clavadas en un tema y no logran internalizar que su software se ha quedado congelado. Es clave desarrollar resiliencia emocional y esforzarse por ser autocompasivo en esos casos. Algunos desafíos no se resuelven con Control, Alt y Suprimir. Se deben enfrentar con calma, y haciendo las cosas de manera diferente. Puedes establecer metas, avanzar paso a paso y celebrar tus logros. El secreto de éxito es la paciencia, esto incluye a sí mismo y a los demás.
