Greetings to everyone in the #Music community. I am happy to share my trumpet performance of "When She Loved Me", a beautiful ballad composed by Randy Newman for the movie Toy Story 2. Surely, you will remember it from the backstory of Jessie, the toy cowgirl. I love the background of the piano, that simplicity in the instrumentation creates an intimate and melancholic atmosphere. The original version in English is performed by Sarah McLachlan and in Spanish by Alessandra Rosaldo. The tempo is slow and the melody is descending. The melody is moving, with phrases that are repeated and emotionally built. The song is in the key of F major and has a harmonic progression I. IV. III and IV. The movement of the voices is mainly parallel or opposite and stability and consonance can be felt. Performing it on the trumpet is a beautiful experience, due to its soft dynamics, with few strong contrasts. The song tells the story of a toy who nostalgically remembers the happy times he lived with his owner, a girl named Emily. The lyrics talk about unconditional love, loss, the passage of time and loneliness.

Me siento feliz de compartir mi interpretación con la trompeta de «When She Loved Me», una hermosa balada compuesta por Randy Newman para la película Toy Story 2. Seguramente, ustedes la recordarán de la historia de fondo de Jessie, la vaquera de juguete. Me encanta el fondo del piano, esa simplicidad en la instrumentación crea un ambiente íntimo y melancólico. La versión original en inglés la interpreta Sarah McLachlan y en español Alessandra Rosaldo. El tempo es lento y la melodía es descendente. La melodía es conmovedora, con frases que se repiten y se van construyendo emocionalmente. La canción está en la tonalidad de Fa mayor y tiene una progresión armónica I. IV. III & VI. El movimiento de las voces es principalmente paralelo o contrario y se puede sentir estabilidad y consonancia. Interpretarla con la trompeta es una bonita experiencia, por su dinámica suave, con pocos contrastes fuertes. La canción narra la historia de un juguete que recuerda con nostalgia los tiempos felices que vivió con su dueña, una niña llamada Emily. La letra habla de amor incondicional, la pérdida, el paso del tiempo y la soledad.
If there's one thing I've learned over the years, it's to focus on the most important things. When one becomes attached to material things, one loses sight of relevant things. Material detachment does not mean completely giving up material possessions, but rather developing a healthy relationship with them. I have been able to feel complete happiness by developing relationships with other people, by serving and by connecting with God. We live in an artificial world, where what you have is worth more than the kind of person you are. I consider that each of us is a valuable creation of God, we are his children. Every time I do service, a greater appreciation for humanity accumulates in my mind and heart. That makes me reflect and understand that my problems are more insignificant. You just have to open your eyes and see all the conflicts that exist on the planet and how these are made invisible by material interests.

Si hay algo que he aprendido a lo largo de los años es enfocarme en las cosas más importantes. Cuando uno se apega de lo material, pierde la visión de las cosas relevantes. El desapego material no significa renunciar por completo a las posesiones materiales, sino más bien desarrollar una relación sana con ellas. Yo he podido sentir una felicidad plena al desarrollar relaciones con otras personas, al servir y al conectarme con Dios. Vivimos en un mundo artificial, donde vale más lo que tienes que la clase de persona que eres. Considero, que cada uno de nosotros es una valiosa creación de Dios, somos sus hijos. Cada vez que hago un servicio, se acumula en mi mente y en mi corazón mayor aprecio por la humanidad. Eso me hace reflexionar y entender que mis problemas son más insignificantes. Solo basta abrir los ojos, y ver todos los conflictos que existen en el planeta y cómo estos son invisibilizados por intereses materiales.
