This post is part of the current Fund Raiser where a friend has given me an offer to buy a collection of Warhammer models, the money will go to putting down deposits for his wedding arrangements.
After that I have two other hobby debts to sort out.
I am collecting funds in the following ways:
- Blogging about Warhammer to earn HBD
- Accepting donations - Can be sent directly to @zakl.hobbyfund in HBD
- Selling some of the collection to friends.

Also this has become quite the Challenge! With so many units to review in the game the consensus in the hobby community is that I will not have enough time to review all of the Datasheets before the new edition of Warhammer 40,000 came out.
I should have started when 10th edition launched!

Astra Militarum, Militarum Tempestus Command Squad
10th Edition Index
Tempestus Scions are the Elite crack troopers of the Astra Militarum. Trained to take on specialist missions.
Once in a while, Regimental Command might see fit to send one of their veteran elite Tempestor Primes to lead a larger force of Tempestus Scions. When making your Tempestor Prime your Warlord, Scions become Battleline units!
It is 70pts to field this 5 man unit and it costs $45 to buy the squad. (See why I say that Warlock is expensive?)

Weapons
The Tempestor Prime has a Bolt Pistol and Tempestus Dagger
The 4 Tempestus Scoins are armed with Hot-shot Lasguns and Close Combat Weapon.
Options:
The Tempestor Prime's Bolt Pistol can be replaced with either a Plasma Pistol or a Command Rod.
1 Scion can have a medi-pack but then cannot exchange his Lasgun for anything else.
1 Scion can be be equipped with a Regimental Standard and then cannot exchange his lasgun for anything else.
1 Scion can exchane his lasgun for a laspistol and master vox.
Any number of Scions can exchange their hot-shot Lasguns with one of the following:
- Flamer
- Grenade Lancher
- Hot-Shot Volley Gun
- Meltagun
- Plasmagun

Bolt Pistol
12" Range, 1 Shot, Hitting on 3+, S4, AP0 and 1 Damage each.
Pistol (This weapon can be fired while in Combat)
Hot-shot Laspistol
12" Range, 1 Shot, Hitting on 3+, S3, AP-1 and 1 Damage each.
Pistol (This weapon can be fired while in Combat)
Hot-shot Lasgun
24" Range, 1 Shot, Hitting on 3+, S3, AP-1 and 1 Damage each.
Rapid Fire 1 (When firing within half range of 12", add 1 additional shot)
Plasma Pistol - Standard
12" Range, 1 Shot, Hitting on 3+, S7, AP-2 and 1 Damage each.
Pistol (This weapon can be fired while in Combat)
Plasma Pistol - Overcharged
12" Range, 1 Shot, Hitting on 3+, S8, AP-3 and 2 Damage each.
Pistol (This weapon can be fired while in Combat)
Hazardous (Can explode, after shooting roll a dice, on a 1 this model takes 3 Mortal Wounds)
Plasma Gun - Standard
24" Range, 1 Shot, Hitting on 3+, S7, AP-2 and 1 Damage each.
Rapid Fire 1 (When firing within half range of 12", add 1 additional shot)

12" Range, 1 Shot, Hitting on 3+, S9, AP-4 and D6 Damage each.
Melta 2 (When firing at a target that is at half range of 6", add 2 to Damage)
Hot-shot Volley Gun
30" Range, 2 Shots, Hitting on 3+, S4, AP-1 and 1 Damage each.
Rapid Fire 2 (When firing within half range of 15", add 2 additional shots)
Grenade Launcher - Frag
24" Range, D3 Shots, Hitting on 3+, S4, AP0 and 1 Damage each.
Blast (Get +1 attack per 5 models in target unit, rounding up)
Grenade Launcher - Krak
24" Range, 1 Shot, Hitting on 3+, S9, AP-2 and D3 Damage each.
Melee Weapons
Close Combat Weapon
2 Attacks, Hitting on 4+, S3, AP0 and 1 Damage each.
Tempestus Dagger
4 Attacks, Hitting on 3+, S3, AP0 and 1 Damage each.
Abilities
Tempestor Prime
While this unit contains a Tempestor Prime, ranged Weapons in this unit have Sustained Hits 1.
Wargear Abilities
Command Rod
While the bearer is leading a unit, this unit can be affected by 2 different Oders at the same time.
Master Vox.
The Officer in the bear's unit can issue an Order up to 24" away
Medi-pack
The bearer's unit have a 6+ Feel No Pain.
Regimental Standard
Add 1 to the OC of models in the bearer's unit.
Orders
The Officer can issue 1 order to Regiment units.
Thoughts
That is a pretty wild selection of abilities.
If you run a small unit, then having 3-4 Special Weapons is tempting, but if this unit is leading Tempestus Scions then the Banner and Medipack is essential! A 10 man Scion unit can have 4 speacial weapons so if you do not need vox that could make it 6 special guns... The Scions would give Re-roll 1s to Hit of Re-roll to hit if they are shooting at an enemy within range of an objective.
Sustained Hits 1 is a great bonus to all of this and 1x order is good... a second would be better but who will give then that extra Order... lots of options there...
That makes 49 Astra Militarum Datasheets Reviewed putting them on 80.32% Completed. The total Completed is 25.76% Complete! Can I review them all?!
