Hello everyone! Zak Ludick here from Cape Town, South Africa and this is a Warhammer 40k - The Great Unit Review Wheel! post!
Now known as the Unit Review Library!
What is it all about? It is not there to just give a stat. It is there to give MY review of the unit!
Also this has become quite the Challenge! With so many units to review in the game the consensus in the hobby community is that I will not have enough time to review all of the Datasheets before the new edition of Warhammer 40,000 came out.
I should have started when 10th edition launched!
417 days since the start of 10th Edition.
This is Review #105, I am 312 reviews behind!
Picking them randomly, let me spin the wheel again and see what I get:
Imperial Agents, Eversor Assassin
10th Edition Index
A brand new Agents of the Imperium Codex has been announced! That means that this review may need to be updated in the future! We shall see how I shall deal with that! Datasheets will need to be refreshed in the future... also... apparently Deathwatch is going to be closed? As in... that codex disappears off the list and it gets merged into the Imperial Agents book!
Well... I shall keep going as best I can then!
The Eversor Assassin is the sort of assassin you send in when you don't mind everyone in the general room/building all dying so you can take out your target.
Even if you manage to kill them... they explode! So suidical missions are their speciality!
This guy costs a mere 75pts to field in a battle, the model is not currently on for sale... it is probably getting a new model! Awesome!
Let's look at those stats!
Stats
Movement 9"
Toughness 4
Save 6+/4++(armor/invul/Feel No Pain)
Wounds 4
Ld 6+
OC 1
Wow! Fast!
Weapons
Ranged:
Executioner pistol
Range 12", 4 Attacks, Hitting on 2+, S4, Ap 0, 1 Damage each
Pistol (Can shoot with this weapon while in engagement range of enemy models, close combat)
Anti-Infantry 3+ (Critically Wounds all Infantry on a 3+)
Melee:
Power sword and neuro gauntlet
6 Attacks, Hitting on 2+, S5 Ap -2, 2 Damage each
Anti-Infantry 3+ (Critically Wounds all Infantry on a 3+)
Abilities
Lone Operative (Can only be targeted with an attack if the shooter is within 12")
Deadly Demise D3 (When this model is destroyed, roll a dice, on a 6 he blows up dealing D3 Mortal Wounds to each unit within 6")
Scouts 9" (Before first turn begins, this model can move 9" but must remain more than 9" away from enemy models.)
Sentinel Array
Once per turn this model can use either the Overwatch or Heroic Intervention Stratagem for 0CP even if you have already used those Stratagems this turn.
Frenzon
In the Command Phase choose one ability to be in effect till the next Command Phase:
- Advance, shoor and charge.
- Attacks have Precision (meaning that he can allocate wounds to the leaders)
- Attacks have Sustained Hits 3 (Attacks that roll a 6 to Hit score an additional 3 hits!)
Thoughts
I have never seen a model with Sustained Hits 3! With 6 attacks hitting on 2+, you are very likely to hit 9 attacks on a unit with a attack profile that can kill Space Marines.
As for assassination, Precision can make sure that happens. And the Advance and Charge means that he is likely to make 1st turn charges most of the time if you want him to!
9" Scout, then select the Advance and charge, then move 9", advance D6, then Charge 2D6". That is a Massive threat range!
Well worth it... I have an unpainted Eversor in my collection!
That makes 4 Imperial Agents Datasheets Reviewed putting them on 23.5% Completed! The total Completed is 10.81% Complete! Can I review them all?!
Thank you for reading!
